Another anti-Irish stitch-up by the shameless Brits. We will remember this appalling vista from Lord Debenham.
Pardon my ignorance, but what can the state actually do?
Debenhams are going to be liquidated, people lost their jobs.
It’s not nice, but what is the alternative? The state to bail out a private company for ~2000 jobs?
Thats the problem alright. Debenhams in Ireland were economically unviable before corona, nevermind now. The state can’t force loss making shops to stay open.
“We will send letters of enquiry on Dail headed notepaper to the Debenham CEO in England.” Be assured we are concerned about your predicament.
Ryan is obviously a cyclopath
