I feel that those who gave their lives in the name of Irish freedom might find some small comfort if they could have known that one bright day small children played in the garden dedicated to their memory.

I wonder does Ireland still have more golf courses than playgrounds? When they pedestrianise College Green they should stick some play equipment in there (like in Smithfield Square). The row over a suggested playground at one end of Croppies Acre seems to suggest that some people prefer statues of the Children of Lir to actual children.
