Have they claimed Portugal now as well?
Oldest continuous alliance in the world. Since 1386 if memory serves (i.e. I Googled the date because I couldn’t remember). And sure weren’t they the only ones on the continent that stood with the UK for a bit during Napolean’s remodelling of Europe.
And Jose Mourinho because why not.
did we have a choice ?
I was referring to Portugal. And just in case you are Portuguese, I am sure you did have a choice. Well not the little people, they didn’t really have a choice back then about many things. I think that was one of the reasons Boners was able to rise to power and go on the rampage.
ah m’y apologies, crosses wires
Coming from someone whose wires are nearly permanently crossed (me), tis no harm and no foul.
you’re a gent ( elady )
Nope
Portugal also were a colonial power
I suppose they feel they have something in common
Common travel area
Anything that annoys the DUP has to be a good thing

Surely the greatest fear of the Unionst is not the Nationalists but the everyday Brit who literally has no idea they’re there. I lived in the UK for a few years and its no stretch to say that the vast majority of people there have zero understanding of NI.
When my in-laws (all from Lancasire) came to visit, I brought them to Farmleigh & the Aras.
Through gritted teeth I explained the concept of us having our very own president.
I don’t think Boris lost much sleep in the past year worrying about Arlene’s opinion.
