17 said they had been “trolled” or received sexist insults or harassment on social media

It’s understood a number of female TDs in Leinster House have reported death threats to the Gardai in previous years but are not willing to disclose the reports to the press.

Well, given that one TD organised his supporters to trap a female minister in her car and scream “C**T” at her for several hours, it’s hardly that surprising that these trolls and troglodytes feel emboldened to harass and verbally abuse women in positions of power.

She’s not in a jeep, rather some type of saloon car, so perhaps the Garda is talking about something else.
Did you actually watch any of the video? It certainly doesn’t look like her car could reverse easily out of that.
