I worked on a conference for “Murphys” at Jurys in Cork City – there was a pedestrian bridge to the hotel (circa 1998) across The Lee – I did think the river level was perhaps a tad close to the undercarriage of the bridge? It’s not entirely eco-friendly, but regular dredging is the only on-going solution to avoid flooding – the alternative is flood banks, which cost a fortune and not a guaranteed solution (I studied Civil Engineering as a degree 35 years ago -didn’t finish…). The North has been in “Lock-down” since last Friday (I live here), generally, people respect the rules/laws(unclear). I hope Na Gardaí aren’t too busy.

It is not a strategy- it is a biological FACT. As to whether it happens on its own or with the aid of a vaccine is another story but one way or another- it will happen with SARS-Cov-2.

Melbourne here. There are some big outbreaks because the people who were positive did not tell the truth, did not provide full details, to contact tracers.
