It’s a smiling, hooded creature wearing shades. I can see it very clearly. Quite frightening actually.

The photo is a fine example of triggering facial paradolia in the viewer i.e seeing faces in random patterns.
Humans are hard wired perhaps for survival purposes to see faces in the shadows. It is obviously the persons somewhat clenched hand…or it could be be a temporarily exposed, Bill Gates remotely controlled by 5G,vaccine injecting, android lizard caught on camera :)
Lot of the old brain power devoted to faces alright.
It’s what causes the Uncanny Valley effect when we view CGI faces I believe.

That’s really interesting. The mind is a mad aul place altogether.
Apparently it’s a mechanism that’s been evolving for last few thousand years. They think it’s to help us tell what’s going on in another persons head. Since we have no idea otherwise other than reading facial expressions.
Similar thing to why we’re one of the only animals with visible whites in our eyes. So we can tell from quite a distance where someone else is looking – to try to figure out if they’re lying to us or not.
lol why would you need to tell if someone is lying to you from a distance? Where do you read this stuff?

It’s kinda like if a stranger is coming towards you and their eyes keep darting away from your gaze and towards the thing they’re actually after, food, resources or whatever.
Well, the further back you can see that deception in their eyes, the better your chance of survival.
