The Snug Project writes:
On March 15th 2020, with the full force of a global pandemic upon us, the pubs of Ireland were forced to close. Their absence has been felt by many, but none more so than those who rely on pubs for social interaction.
The Snug Project is a calendar and limited edition print sale in aid of ALONE, a national organisation that strives to enable older people to age at home, safely and securely, for as long as they wish. The series features 12 images by photographer Finn Richards, resurfaced from a commercial project commissioned almost ten years ago.
The project is led by Stills & Motion, a network of image makers and thinkers telling powerful stories through stills and motion.

Here’s a really nice idea for the year that’s in it. All beautifully done and in a great cause. Name those pubs, anyone?
Irish-made stocking fillers to broadsheet@broadsheet.ie marked ‘Irish-Made Stocking Fillers’
I’m going to get me one of them, very nice, thanks for sharing.
On my increasingly rare trips to Dublin I do try to visit Mulligans and The Palace, but never been inside their snugs. Kehoes yes, but a very long time ago, when grumpy Mr Kehoe was in charge. Actually, was his name really Mr Kehoe?
I used to bartend in Keogh’s but it had already changed owners …the ice machine is on the very top floor…pain in the hoop
here’s the list of pubs:
Michael Fawl, Ennis, Co. Clare
Kehoe’s, South Anne St, Dublin
Garavan’s, William St, Galway
Mulligan’s, Poolbeg St, Dublin
Dick Mack’s, Dingle, Co. Kerry
J. Coffey, Borrisoleigh, Co. Tipperary
Tigh Neachtain, Cross St, Galway
O’Flaherty’s, Dingle, Co. Kerry
Thomas Connolly, Sligo, Co. Sligo
O’Connor’s Bar and Lounge, Ballisodare, Co. Sligo
The Palace Bar, Fleet St, Dublin
The Greyhound, Kinsale, Co. Cork
Ta for that.
Lovely pics
