A really rather excellent short by Jaybird Films shot at Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis that combines smooth-as-silk drone piloting and a simple but brilliantly executed concept.
Full screen for best effect.
You’ll probably want to watch this more than once.

Superb – a mini-drone I would presume but executed perfectly – looks like a fun place to spend a few hours/most of the day.
I enjoyed that!
I hope you do not mind but it reminded me of a different time. The team I was part of decided to do some team building. On another day I will tell you about the rope work.
But as part of it we went bowling. We had me, obviously, but Americans, a Canadian, and an absolutely lovely Indian lady who was really tiny, petite, and wonderful fun.
So there are all the alphamales trying to prove their worth by slamming those skittles. This lady just walks up, starts her ball rolling, not using the three holes provided, but just rolling it. Slowly. She came back, sat down and took a drink before her ball reached the end.
She got the first full strike of the day. Her grin was impish!
I try to learn from all my experiences. What that taught me was that force is not always the answer. Sometimes subtlety works better. And I remember her grin!
nice story. made my day
ooh lovely. Sneaky edits are getting better and better, congrats to the editor, drone pilot and choreographer.
Where do you think the edits are Paul?
I thought it went a bit off when it flew into the back or the alley, but it’s near flawless. I totally thought it was one continous shot
That is excellent!
I love the audio overdub as well – in reality all you’d hear is the drone ;)
Not even a hat-tip from 7.24am.
It’s almost like no-one at Broadsheet Asylum reads my stuff any more.
I’ve a good mind to flounce off Piers stylee …
I’m only messing.
Fabulous footage.
Not surprised Chompsky thought to highlight it.
Have a butchers at this before (or after) you take the decision to flounce anywhere; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHFrhIAj0ME
