as a child I have vague memories of a gaff on Aungier Street (east side of it) that re-sold all the “broken bits” from the Cadbury and Rountree factories
factory fails like deformed lumps of crunchie, kitkats that were just solid chocolate etc.
anyone remember the place and it’s name?
my granda used to cut lawns for some of the oul dears who worked for cadbury when i was a nipper. the staff were able to get plastic bags full of bits of crunchie and snacks for 50p and he would always keep a healthy supply of them stashed away for important treat times like after homework, after dinner, after training, before match of the day. those bags of bits turned my granda into a legend.
