One of my brothers looks after dogs, or more correctly hounds: greyhounds, whippets, lurchers and the like. He said that naturally short-haired dogs hate the rain.
He also has a collie who he says will roll in any puddle she can find. Needless to say, you can tell which doggie bed is whose when you come to the house :-)
