my own lads been up to Belfast couple of times already this month

this thing was an utter nonsense, hard to know where to start!? tho my grapevine informs me that the kids do realise it’s a pisstake and are wise to it

apparently there’s a roaring trade going on offloading EP tickets at the moment

Yes there appears to be quite the traffic towards Belfast these days, some of it by people who wouldn’t normally consider such. It’s quite the opportunity for Belfast pubs and restaurants to pitch themselves although its a pity the clubs aren’t open yet, as they are usually very good. And a different vibe to Dublin, definitely much less posey,

    Ewan McKenna?! ROFL.

He was only just admonishing folks for making fun of tiny tot – vertically challenged National Party “leader”Justin Barrett out on the DBS campaign trail trying to reach some letter boxes.

Barrett’s height or lack of it should not be a subject of ridicule to be fair but when one is our preaching about a master race and the genetic purity of the Irish nation, well one expects something a bit better than a pot-bellied goblin to turn up.

Ewan has had some really “interesting” tweets of late – funny how Bodger went with the one above.

luckily for me I don’t need the likes of these people to tell me what kind of 1984 exercise went down here

.05 of a brain and one working eye is all you’d need

People need to grow a bit of perspective.

Look, these things are just early toes in the water for bringing people back in large groups. As funny as they look, they probably won’t be around for long. Once most people are vaccinated they’ll begin to slip away again, as the profit motive reasserts itself.

Clutching pearls about how this is the end of civilisation as we know it is silly.

In 12 months time we’ll be sweating on each other’s ham sandwiches again, cheek by jowl in the Hogan Stand.

    1. SOQ

There are those who would argue that this whole nonsense is very much profit driven- in particular, a bunch of gougers who see an opportunity to wring it.

What exactly is the difference between this event and kids gathering on South William street or in Temple Bar every Friday and Saturday night?

“The new normal”, amazing how easily the gullible (I blame our education system rather than the intelligence of the tweeter ) are manipulated into spewing far right expressions used in hate speech.

I reckon the Bodge must be really experiencing impotent ineffectual rage that despite the continued descent of BS into a propaganda site for nonsense covid denialism and idiot ideas like the “great reset” , 99.99% of ordinary decent people correctly get on with their lives as covid will be beaten and society slowly returns to true banal normality.

    1. f_lawless

By “far right” do you mean the billionaire elites who meet at Davos to set out global policies?
      https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/theres-nothing-new-about-this-new-normal-heres-why/

Joe, I have a direct question: are you part of a government ‘online presence’ team? It sure appears that way when all you ever seem to do is try to police the content and comment sections with ad hominem attacks on those who express dissent towards establishment opinions.

      1. Nigel

SOQ and f_lalwless – we’re not far-right paranoid consipracy theorists
Also SOQ and f_lawless – YOU’RE WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMENT

        1. E'Matty

No, you guys are complete imbeciles who think the Great Reset was dreamed up by some mysterious “Far Right conspiracy theorists” when Klaus Schwab the head of the WEF has literally written a book called the Great Reset and the WEF website is filled with promotional videos for the Great Reset. Complete imbeciles with no knowledge of anything beyond the pages of our mainstream media. The Great Reset won’t be real to you cattle until the media tell you it’s real. Until then it’s just “conspiracy “. Kind of how the idiot class have responded to the idea of the virus originating from a lab. Crazy conspiracy theory for a year because that’s what the media and politicians told you all to believe, and so you did like good herd animals. Flash forward a year and the Biden administration say that claim is worth investigating, and just watch the dumb cattle now think, oh right, this could have come from a lab.

Well it does seem a little strange that the same characters keep returning to this site to repeatedly complain about the topics being discussed- especially when if asked out right, they refuse to answer.

I mean if it’s all so distasteful, then why bother? We already know that most of the ‘fact checker’ sites have sketchy funding so is it really so unreasonable to assume such?

Em, “the new normal” has been in use since March 2020 and used by every media outlet and politician at one stage or another… Are they all far right extremists Joe?

      LOL!

Who is the gullible one spewing nonsense now Joe, in all fairness.
“Far right extremists” indeed…. You’re good for getting a giggle at least :0)

    3. Andrew

I’ve heard the phrase ‘the new normal’ loads of times from all sorts, on RTE in particular. I don’t like the phrase but it’s in common usage, hardly a far-right thing?

  4. eamonn

Imagine feeling lucky to be allowed to attend such a pilot event – I do hope that plane stays on the runway.
Looks woeful – to my eye.

  5. Junkface

Comparing this pilot gigs restrictions to North Korea?? Ha haha! Come off it to f***.

    1. E'Matty

You’re right. Gigs in North Korea are less restrictive and don’t require people to stand in cattle pens. The local bands are better than this line up too.

    2. Micko

Regardless of the validity of the analogy.

This is pee poor. Absolutely depressing stuff.

And that “share that you’re having a great time on social media “ message is creepy as feck.

I would expect no less from MCD.
