Olivia Vedder, Eddie Vedder, Glen Hansard – My Father’s Daughter
Off the soundtrack to Sean Penn’s new movie Flag Day
Via Stereogum:
Glen Hansard (top left) and Eddie Vedder (top right) wrote “My Father’s Daughter,” the lead single from the soundtrack, and it’s sung entirely by Olivia Vedder (top centre). It’s a soft, downbeat ballad, and Olivia’s got a nice voice. Penn says, “After this flood of gorgeous songs from Cat Power, Glen Hansard, and Eddie Vedder, we were just about to do a final mix on the film when Ed sent me Olivia singing ‘My Father’s Daughter.’ It became just the perfect cherry on top of the sundae.”

That was beautiful, thanks Nick!
Hmmmm… not sure you want to be giving that guy a platform with his background.
Background?
Is there something here I have missed?
He made plaid shirts look sexy.
He was caught up in the #metoo kerfuffle last year, but of the underage variety. But I think because hes beloved he didnt get the full Eoghan McDermot treatment
Sorry? What? Underage? Why isn’t that national news?
There was a lot of speculation on twitter (and elsewhere) about him last year in regard to his relationship with Marketa Irglova who he met in 2001 when she was 13 years old (He would have been 31). They began a romantic relationship during the making of the film “Once” around 2007.
When she was 21 it should be added.
Eddie Vedder did the Soundtrack for another Sean Penn film – Into the Wild.
If you’ve neither seen the film or listened to the soundtrack then do yourself a favour.
excellent soundtrack
Absolutely correct
An enthusiastic +1
Leave him alone, he’s a national treasure sure
Hansard seems to get away with a lot. Why I wonder? Never had any time for him.
No one has the boo boos to call him out because they are all at it… never not at it in the celebrity world… where do you start…
