Go Go Power Rangers

at

This morning.

Rangers football club have vowed to work with the police to identify any fans that participated in a sectarian march through Glasgow city centre on Sunday.

Via The National:

A video on social media showed a large group being escorted by police while chanting an anti-Irish song referencing the famine on the day of their side’s 1-0 win over Celtic.

The statement, released on the club’s website on Monday night, reads: “Following an incident on Sunday, we repeat that Rangers FC condemns all forms of racism, sectarianism and discrimination.

We are working with the police to identify any season ticket holders.”

Aw gee guys, football is only a game. Some of my acquaintances are Rosicrucians and Seventh Day Adventists, even if they don’t play football.

Celtic fans and their behaviour have zero to do with this.

This is racism and sectarianism, plain and simple. If they had a march singing songs offensive to Islam, Black or Asian people or LGBT groups the cops would be all over them in a hearbeat.

If Celtic fans are singing sectarian or racist songs they should also be arrested and charged for doing so.

One groups bad behaviour neither excuses or condones another groups bad behaviour.

For the record I am neither a Celtic or soccer fan so really couldn’t give a monkeys about their ‘rivalry’.
