    Tut tut.

I have my own opinion on the use of ivermectin but telling lies about it is never on. Just drags the whole debate further down the toilet.

    Despicable but, sadly, rampant practice.

Shuffling arses and elbows on all sides so you won’t know which is which.

Mental! Nearly as bad as linking a random death during a soccer match to something completely unsubstantiated!

    1. Micko

      Nearly as bad?

That soccer match lad would be speculation. Whether you agree with it or not.

What this guy did via Rolling Stone was tell an outright lie..
He went on camera and everything and barefaced lied.

They’re not really comparable to be fair.

Perhaps the Rolling stone guy would justify it as a way to stop people taking ivermectin though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The ends justifies the means and all…

The soccer match lad, the star of Better Call Saul, and the four leaders who were assasinated because the opposed vaccination were all stories – speculative, dodgy or just plain completely wrong – featured here on Broadsheet without subsequent correction or retraction, where we are now deploring this shoddy journalism. Granted Rolling Stone has a wider and broader reach and have expected standards, but come on. Bad journalists in tiny glass houses shouldn’t be throwing rocks at Rolling Stones, and all that, let alone deploring the Fake News Of The Mainstream Media, though it’s notable that the story of this shoddy journalism is getting even more traction than the original shoddy journalism, which tends to be more than you can say about Bodger’s preferred stories.

        1. Bodger

The ‘soccer match lad’. If the coroner says it was other reasons, I’ll print that, but let’s wait until then.

Better Call Saul. Superfit actor suffers heart attack after taking vaccine. Has the vax being ruled out? If it has I can’t find it but happy to post a follow up.

‘four leaders who were assasinated because the opposed vaccination’ – actually five leaders who opposed vaccines and died prematurely after ‘a short illness’, only one was assassinated.

          1. Nigel

Waiting until confirmation before publishing would be the ethical approach, of course, and ‘not ruled out’ is pure tabloid sensationalism, and those leaders opposed to vaccines were not, in fact, opposed to vaccines. The lack of solid evidence is either a sign of lazy journalism or a sign that there is no evidence to find.

          2. George

You featured a link to an article about the other club’s senior team being vaccinated. It was a youth match and the player was on the other team!

The burden of proof is on the person making the claim without evidence not on a coroner to prove you wrong.

          3. Timothy

We’re through the looking glass now folks… printing stuff with no proof and will only update it when its been unproven. Just when you thought Broadsheet couldn’t fall any further.

Although I suppose we do all forget that they are the original champions of Gemma O D and giving her a platform

          4. Bodger

Timothy, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that a lot of fit young people are having heart attacks on the pitch. I’ll retract and apologise if the coroner says different. When Roy Butler died, the mainstream media said it was after a short illness and didn’t mention the fact that he had received the Jannsen vaccine three days earlier. Now, this was your Irish Times, RTÉs and whatnot. Why aren’t you all over them like a cheap suit?

          5. SOQ

According to his aunt, Roy Butler stated taking fits one hour after receiving the injection. You don’t need to be a pathologist to suspect that there may be a connection.

          6. Slave to the Rhythm

Besides, it’s clearly an opinion piece by Bodger…. why don’t you guys set up your own obscure little blogs to report the ‘truth’ if you are so concerned about getting your version of it out there to counteract what you see as the low standards of this one. Surely that would be the logical way to respond?

Looks like this has been updated again on the RS website:

Update: One hospital has denied Dr. Jason McElyea’s claim that ivermectin overdoses are causing emergency room backlogs and delays in medical care in rural Oklahoma, and Rolling Stone has been unable to independently verify any such cases as of the time of this update.

The National Poison Data System states there were 459 reported cases of ivermectin overdose in the United States in August. Oklahoma-specific ivermectin overdose figures are not available, but the count is unlikely to be a significant factor in hospital bed availability in a state that, per the CDC, currently has a 7-day average of 1,528 Covid-19 hospitalizations. The doctor is affiliated with a medical staffing group that serves multiple hospitals in Oklahoma. Following widespread publication of his statements, one hospital that the doctor’s group serves, NHS Sequoyah, said its ER has not treated any ivermectin overdoses and that it has not had to turn away anyone seeking care. This and other hospitals that the doctor’s group serves did not respond to requests for comment and the doctor has not responded to requests for further comment. We will update if we receive more information.

You’ve tied yourself in so many knots that a government threatening death to its critics is ‘the right attitude,’ rather than a massive red flag that said government might not be acting in its people’s best interests.

      1. SOQ

Oh so the Indian government, with an impressive track record in low Covid-19 numbers, doesn’t have its people’s interests at heart is it?

Rather than the WHO- headed up by a Gates/ CCP stooge with an extremely dodgy and violent past.
