There are no time related restrictions on flights in or out of Dublin Airport and there never have been.
Planning conditions for the new runway will restrict flights between 11pm and 7am but they haven’t come into affect yet.
And the comment about low level helicopter flights is bull poo also.
Trying to start a scandal where there is none methinks.

The planning conditions specify that the runway not be used between 11pm and 7am and that night-time operations not exceed 65 flights on average

The one in Kerry is likely to be American golfers being brought from Shannon or another course to Tralee Golf Club.

You beat me to it, not sure why the OP didn’t just go straight there when they were being bothered by the flights….

      ah Rosie

I had a big oul olde school Frilly on the make there
Mayo lads flying back to their clubs in Oz
      Pharma lads checking out sites
Restriction breaking TDs snakeing back in
      and Zappone snaking back out
Black ops n’ all sorts of stuff

      You ruined it now

Sorry :( If it cheers you up tho’, I’ll share that I sat beside the Zappers on a flight to NYC a few years back. Aer Lingus Business Class. Both in center aisle seats meaning private enough not to have to talk. In the new lounge before departure however she spend her whole time on the phone and Jesus was she LOUD, She was told to move to the business area by staff or hush up… Was funny the look on the big ol’ entitled head on her.

          1. Rosette of Sirius

That or the points. Nah. I’d say she paid full welly for it. She was in the ‘fancy’ lounge and unless you’ve paid for business class or paid for entry, and upgrade won’t get you in.

Hmmm. If an Airplane lands at an airport and you weren’t there to see or hear it it, did ever land at all???? Whoooshhhh…. *Mind blown*

Typical paranoia and idle gossip-mongering from a curtain-twitching nation that cannot shake off its legacy of invasion and pillage. We’re in the 21st Century now, lads!

Dublin airport has been in operation for 70+ years. If someone moved into the area any time after that (which I presume they did if they’re on Twitter), knowing full well they were in proximity to the biggest airport in the country, they don’t really have a right to complain about airplane noise.

    1. Qwerty123

Really? No rights? There are already restriction on night time flights as mentioned above. If there were no complaints they would be running flights there 24/7. Heathrow is one of the largest airports in the world, that has really strict night time flight rules. 15 flights on average per night allowed. 5,800 per year.

Also, flight traffic, from 100k to over 30 million pre covid, huge expansion, no concerns given to local residents on this.

I don’t know if you noticed, but Dublin suburban sprawl has expanded greatly since the airport has opened.

      1. Joan Burton

No concern for the locals ? Isn’t there a noise monitor office in the council ? Don’t the airport pay for insulation or offer to buy your house ? If the sprawl is in the flight paths then blame the politicians , look at an aerial photo of the area , they try and keep the flight paths over the see and the undeveloped farm land , dodge councilors if the Rez one that

  6. Skeptik

Testing the new runway. There’s a notice on the DAA website.
But don’t let that get in the way of a good ol conspiracy theory.
