Dogs always on leads, cats indoors.
Our cat is an outdoor cat. The only time she’s really in the house is for food. She keeps the rats away and leaves the occasional gift of a perfectly cleaned organ on the doorstep. Cats aren’t meant to be kept indoors.
and dogs need to run or they loose their mental health, humans have the whole shagging planet, there’s room for other beasts too
Well I don’t care abut their mental health I care about when dogs off the leash attack my dog on her leash.
and is that a regular thing ? Maybe it’s your body language, do you give your dog room to say hello ? Is your dog feeling at a disadvantage on a lead maybe ? Most dogs dont just attack for no reason, those that do have no place off a lead, why should all the good boys suffer because of a few cranks ?
They want to be outdoors so they can kill everything they get their paws on.
Yes, how very dare she have animal instincts.
Those are the problem, yes, in a domesticated species that does not actually live or breed in the wild but can wander around in it without having to contend with the elements or natural predators while all the other poor we birds and beasts do. I know you love your cat Millie, but roaming outdoors they’re one more thing degrading our badly degraded biodiversiry.
I have to disagree with you there Nigel. Mice and rats are pests, and we have a serious problem with them in my estate. She’s doing exactly what she’s supposed to by hunting them, something cats have been doing for centuries.
It’s better than putting down poison, certainly, but excess rat and mice populations are yet another example of biodiversity being out of whack, and all over the country, and the world, there are cats roaming about where there are no such vermin problems.
thopught there was already a bye law for pre 10am and the last hour of DCC parks?
It’s Clontarf, was Clontarf before Raheny was even a builder’s dream.
