The first official trailer for ‘Unwelcome’ – formerly The Little People – which sees Londoners Maya and Jamie escape their urban nightmare to the tranquility of a cgi-enhanced rural Ireland only to discover ‘malevolent, murderous goblins lurking in the gnarled, ancient wood at the foot of their new garden’.
Are they laughing at us?
We may never know.

Very underrated movie – well acted, shot and hilarious storyline that stayed on the right side of ridiculous.
If that scenario ever happened in real life I think I’d be well prepared….

Bought the book 8 years ago. Haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. Must get onto that.
This looks more realistic than Darby O’Gill and the Little People. We have to update our national Bord Failte image for hospitality towards foreigners.
