First gig in over two years… Sleaford Mods at the Olympia tonight… Great buzz, great show :0)

I remember going to see them about 4 or 5 years ago – was a good gig. But it’s funny to think that an old fogey like Van Morrison or Eric Clapton is now more anti-establishment than the Sleaford Mods.

While on the one hand Clapton has been an outspoken critic of government messaging on Covid vaccines – which he has come to view as propaganda – and has refused on principle to play to any vaccinated-only audiences, the Sleaford Mods have taken no such stance. On the contrary lead singer, Jason Williamson, has said he “feels passionate” about urging people to get vaccinated and “feels offended” by people who doubt official messaging on the safety of the vaccines and by anyone who suspects governments might be using the roll out of the vaccine to institute a system of surveillance. It’s a “silly conspiracy theory” according to him.

          @ Tom J
          ‘Eric Clapton is vaccinated.’

So what? That was his personal choice. One can be against the Government’s propaganda and, certainly, totally against the discrimination of vaccine certificate restrictions and still choose to be vaccinated. What some people label as anti-vacc actually covers a wide range of views.

Are these symptoms “the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again”

the same as he’d disclosed as early as 2013 and previously blamed on neurological problems?
“According to the Mayo Clinic, peripheral neuropathy refers to damage in one’s peripheral nerves and often results in stabbing, burning or tingling pain in the arms and legs. For Clapton, the pain came in the form of “electric shocks.””

That someone may have a cured condition which immediately pops up again after vaccination is more of a concern, not less.

Shingles, herpes, and genital warts are all the rage these days it appears.

Mad isn’t it? Everyone ‘cool’ is so anti big business and supporting their local boutique restaurant/clothes/coffee shop- and are very principled about Amazon etc.

And yet, the industry with the biggest criminal fines in history are to be defended to the death because their motives are clearly altruistic- yeah, dream on.

-The state Board of Social Work Examiners voted unanimously to change a section of its code of conduct last week following a recommendation from Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, to remove protections for sexual orientation, gender identity and disability. –

The only thing I know about Clapton is a load losers who never have gone on a real coke bender, sing and love this f….stoopid song.

            If you got bad news
            You wanna kick them blues
            Cocaine
            When your day is done
            And you wanna run
            Cocaine

‘U.S. District Court Judge Lee Yeakel’s decision bars state Attorney General Ken Paxton from enforcing the Republican governor’s executive order. The decision comes after parents of young children with disabilities and a disability rights group sued Texas officials this summer, alleging that Abbott’s executive order put students with disabilities at risk.‘

You claim to be the all seeing NYC eye Johnny, so what is going on with Ghislaine Maxwell?

…Jersey boy these days same old.

Murphy the successful (yeah baby like who loses as incumbent-duh:) winner of the recent governors race, will be issuing cultivation licenses in new year, applications due in by end December.

So I actually spent weekend in Ashbury Park-Stone Pony-making bad grams,to born to run,the river,Nebraska,…….NY delayed licenses until 2013,so it’s a Jersey Shore summer for me.

It’s thanksgiving ‘week’ so I’m on the farm upstate, but next week will make inquiries for you……I don’t think anyone cares, she could be dead.

Tom, it was following his vaccination and the terrible adverse effects he suffered that he realised how deceitful the government messaging is.

…said the fox after getting chased, cornered and ripped apart by bloodthirsty hounds, cheered on by boorish fat rich whit….

What a blasé thing to say. I have two jabbed friends, middle forties and in fair shape- one is seeing a cardiologist now and one a neurologist- both worried sick.

Ironically the cardiologist gave the first a lecture that she never needed the vaccine in the first place- then again, he is on the coal face of all this.

      1. SOQ

The twitter joke comes to mind- who would have thought that Right Said Fred would turn out to be more anti establishment than Rage Against The Machine?

        1. E'Matty

True, all the old punk bands and figures like Jello Biafra and Co now walking in lockstep with global fascism.

The Offspring kicked their drummer out of the band for not being vaccinated despite the reason he wasn’t vaccinated being previous adverse reactions and medical advice not to get the vaccine. Playing Dublin soon.

Well, someone hasn’t been paying attention. If they were drinking, it’d be different but covid doesn’t bother with sporting events.
