Jaysus Bodge what’s with the inverted commas around appropriate healthcare and rights there?
cheeky clickbait you rascal
There is a shocking health care waiting list for everyone in this country.. Trans are no different
I think the commas are for the consideration that healthcare for all is inefficient, not just a select group of people who seem to believe they should be at the top of the que for everything; and their opinions should not be up for debate, ever!!!
Yup. Fair enough, there’s nearly a million people on hospital waiting lists in Ireland.
They have to queue like everyone else – or go private.
Pat, not at all. It was stated in the caption we got so it was a direct quote from the trans literature. We also don’t do clickbait.
Ah now Bodge! All you do on here is clickbait. Sure that’s what makes it so entertaining!
FIGHT!
I’m all for Trans rights as long as I have the right to believe that a man can not be a woman.
No one is stopping you believing that but you do not have the right to inflict that upon people.
Legally the law is rigorous under the Gender Identity Act
Indeed, nobody has the right to inflict their opinions on others. I would have thought that also means one is entitled to voice their opinion and not be subject to hostile intimidation from the opposing side.
However, I don’t think DCU, among others, get this; their modus operandi seems to be to block all unwanted opinions at the gate!
Just thinking, I wounder how gender is identified in the maternity wards these days???
…there/there
ziiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnng…!
:-)
Underrated comment :)
…it’s the HSE’s new mission statement.
;-)
The way they go on you’d swear the state was actively denying them healthcare or something.
Sigh – another BS clarion call for the extremists on both sides to do battle. These are the clicks that Bodge now seeks.
In the middle lie the trans folk from whom we don’t really hear very much for the sides of this issue are monopolized by two mirror-extremes: on one we have the shouty gender critical feminists (and good ole Clampers) and on the other the strident ultra-woke and both equally intolerant of nuance and dialogue, each one merely the equal opposite of the other on a particularly grim coin (and very few actual parents to boot). I am intolerant and hostile to both in equal measure.
Wrong there. The gender critical side wants debate and discussion while the other side has actively pursued a path of “no debate”, no discussion.
(Dog whistle. )
Here come Preeclampsia and Miriam, any second now…. 3, 2, 1.
In fairness though, wearing badges upside down has never been an optimal way to ensure readability and get your message across (unless you’re in Insulate Britain and stuck to the road with SuperGlue).
