That is stupid, is it because there is more mark up on the UK tree, or in other words the Irish growers are being too greedy?

Maybe the denizens of Ranelagh prefer a UK tree?

      likely to be the latter
prices been going up solid every year now without any major justification that I can see….won’t be long until 8ft = €100

I’m trying to talk herself into letting me finally do something (previously thought fairly unforgiveable) this year – to make an alternative xmas tree – I have a bit of a workshop, some skills and a couple of ideas….

          I know my place V

and non-natural isn’t a runner (been trying for years) but just might have it cracked at last ;)

Heard a thing on the radio about a company who rent live trees for €40.00. Really want to do it, they supply the tree and remove it after. Seems like a better choice and cheaper than buying one that sheds all over the place and then has to be disposed of in January.

Yet many truckloads of this variety of tree have already crossed, and will continue to cross for the next 2 weeks or so, from Ireland to UK. It’s big business and the large haulage companies will make a killing.
The two taking up the parking spaces are probably a special order for a couple of West Brit ‘can’t touch me’ types :-)
