Does anyone actually believe that our governments have any moral authority anymore, they have shown time and time again, that they are hypocrites who bend and remake the rule of law to suit their own ends. The social contract is in tatters and appears to be everyone for themselves.

Plenty. Western countries regularly call for countries who crack down on journalists to be sanctioned, like Belarus recently. Simultaneously there’s no call for any type of sanctions against the US or UK for their role in Assange’s imprisonment. It’s hypocritical

This is the guy who said that anyone who got killed or imprisoned because he dumped unredacted documents actually deserved it. Because America etc.

I’ll give him this much – the US caused more massive death and destruction when it invaded Iraq on a fabricated pretext than Assange could ever have managed in the interests of exposing the truth, so shock and outrage on this score rings hollow.

So adding to the death toll and dodging a rape trial makes him some kind of hero ? No wonder the Shinners are doing so well.
