The majority of begging around dublin south city during the day are Romanians. They also seem to have taken over the outside of Lidls and post offices

I had some sympathy for these people until one day when I was waiting a couple of hours for a relative in a retail park outside Longford town. As I sat in the car a young man sat against a wall with a cup in front of him; he looked miserable. At about 5pm a minivan arrived and the beggar, who appeared to be devoid of energy, shot up and into the van like an Olympic sprinter. There were a number of other young men in the car and I suspect they were being collected from their posts in an organised begging operation.

ha you didn’t even publish mine as far as I can see.
But yet you”ll publish absolute lies and scurrilous nonsense about footballers having heart attacks.
Sir, your head is up your bottom.

Bigoted? Really. I’m aware of the benefits of EU membership, and they are vast. I’m also aware of the side affects. One being the access to our state of an indigent gypsy people who arrive to our shores with nothing but their hand out. I’m more than happy to be proved wrong on this.

Bigotry a no-no but xenophobia alive and condoned on BS.
Just so long as it’s the right type of xenophobia.

Bodger – you have a long-standing tradition of allowing any and all sorts of abuse of the British on this forum which would simply not be tolerated for any other nation.
You represent exactly the same sort of hypocrisy that you accuse the MSM of in many other areas.
You even purged Charger Salmons because he accused you of this.
Fwiw I share your animosity towards the Welsh.

What’s wrong with hating the British?
Some of them are deeply hateful and are despised all over the world, and with good reason.
Fupp off with your gammon snowflakery, you bottom.

What’s more. Over at the Irish times there’s a landlord whinging that he can’t make money from his investment portfolio anymore. Fury in the comments section

Had my first AA meeting in “the rooms” above that big door. I can still picture the group and feel the warmth of the coffee through the polystyrene cups… Good times, no joke :)

No offence, but I find your hatred of trans people especially tendentious given your own difficult back story, which (one would think) would make you more sympathetic to marginalised groups and unspoken up for segments.

      1. Clampers Outside

There’s no hate. And if you are referring to the Quiditch joke… That’s nothing compared to the abuse JK received from the so-called “be kind” brigade, and they are not above having the pee taken out of them.

      2. Clampers Outside

And you’re more than welcome to take the mickey out of alcoholism.
Trust me, nothing you can say will ever reach the dark depth of humour we had in those rooms.

Posting these photos is unethical and really unfair as a lot of people are clearly identifiable. Tough enough without breaking their anonymity.

That’s Dublin for you. A city of people Instagramming their food and others who have none.

Enjoy your free food, Googlers and Facebookers in Grand Canal Docks. You’re part of the problem.

So sad to see so many people looking for free food hampers in Ireland in 2021 with the fastest growing economy in Europe
