Hmmmmm thats weird, I give blood, But got a call was I vaxed and I said no, I was expecting to be told my blood was no longer worthy but instead of that the woman pratically begged me to give blood this week anyone know what the deal is

Oh.
Anyone?

Can’t give blood if you’ve had Covid recently, and given that the vaxed are more likely to be infected with Omicron, during the recent surge, then I guess most eligible blood donors are the moment are the unvaxed?
Unlike in some other territories, Ireland doesn’t ban blood donations specifically from the spike vaxed (yet).
Hmmm.
Is it possible that unvaccinated recipients are refusing vaccinated blood?
Or that people who were advised not to have the vaccine on medical grounds cannot take vaccinated blood?
Or maybe they’re trying to get the unvaxed in so they can “have a word with them”? :)
Ssshhhhhhhhhh, we have camps to fill.
They aren’t going to tell you. You don’t get to ask a load of questions about your blood donor.
“I only want blood from a vegan”.
They don’t take blood within 72hours of vaccination. They allow a certain period so the vaccine won’t pass to the recipient.
The spike protein remains in the blood for months.
I gave blood a couple of hours ago. I had COVID about 3 weeks ago,, out of isolation about 10 days ago (and am triple vaxxed)
ROFL.
Anyone else got funny tweets from randos that they’d like to share ?
She retweets a parody account called ‘Hatt Mancock” and has to ask if it’s fake or real – she may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.
so she had someone from the blood transfusion board on the phone and doesn’t ask them why they need donations so badly and then goes to twitter for the answer.
yeah, should try harder.
Almost as if she has an agenda…hmmm!
I think it was more a case of saying that unvaccinated are welcome.
I expect that donations are way down these days?
i doubt she could spell ‘agenda’, let alone put one together
She should really post this wonderfully believable story on r/thatHappened on reddit.
Just because nobody wants your sticky blood.
Unfortunately they do not want my sticky blood. I have had malaria, and that rules me out.
You’ve been in the wars, Slightly.
True, indeed. And I would wager that if it was not for modern medicine – including vaccines – he would not be with us today.
Nor would you, Mr Bodger.
Unfortunately they don’t. I was rejected in November but nothing to do with vaccines.
Cacamilis: at the risk of stating the obvious, maybe Bodger’s drôle response was in the context of your username.
Same here
Well not in November
But rejected years ago
Like before the teenager came about years ago
Twice actually
Again nothing to do with vaccines
Theyre low in general these days, so desperate for anyone to donate IIRC
understaffed and overworked
As for the vaccine question – kind of strange, unless they were asking about vaccination in the previous 2weeks/month? I think you shouldnt donate immediately following vaccination
72 hours actually – more detail here: https://www.giveblood.ie/can-i-give-blood/faqs/health-faqs/health-questions/vaccination.html
…at last…the pure bloods time has come…pity so many of them are scared of needles…
I used to be terribly afraid of needles, and didn’t donate for years because of my own silly fears. My daughter needed a blood transfusion after she was born, among other things. I still remember walking into the ward and seeing her in a cot, so white and still I thought she’d died. They told me to go and have a cup of coffee and a bite to eat while she was having the transfusion, which I duly did, and when I got back there was a bright eyed, pink cheeked little lady awaiting my return. It was amazing.
No surprise but I always donate blood, when possible, these days
they won’t take mine, i had childhood epilepsy.
i literally couldn’t give it away..
The main damage the Clot Shot does is to capillaries, where the blood slows down & the approximately 75% of the mRNA from the injections which gets into the bloodstream causes Spike Protein to be expressed by cells in the blood vessel walls. The capillaries are extremely narrow & the spikes are large enough to partially block them, slowing the flow of blood to levels where it begins to clot. Again, because of the tiny size of these capillaries, the clots are very small, thus “Micro Clots”, a phenomenon that was unknown to medical science, to all intents.
The slowing of blood flow also causes numerous other problems, naturally enough. The narrowing of these capillaries is irreversible, as we’ll see in the coming years. It’s going to be a truly dreadful scenario for the victims & their families. God help them.
Genuine LOL moment here.
This is as preposterous as it is ridiculously misinformed.
Just so I can complete the picture, are you rocking back and forth, eyes manic, emitting spittle in all directions when you write this mad rubbish?
There is nobody more impressed by their own witticisms as K. Cavan.
The clot shot indeed.
You have no clue now do you andrew?
Micro clots are happening with both CoVid-19 patients AND as a vaccine injury.
Maybe it was Nosferatu or Dracula who made the call.
I have a relatively rare blood type so I give, well I did in France, I must get on it here.
I was pretty glad they had blood lined up me last March.
My late grandad had a very rare type too and the local hospital used to keep his number handy in case of emergencies. My dad has memories of the hospital sending out an ambulance to bring him in to donate in the middle of the night at one point.
wow !
he’d have had to keep his fluids up !
Janet, if you’ve received a blood transfusion yourself, which judging by this comment you may have, you generally cannot donate blood (some exceptions apply, https://giveblood.ie/can-I-give-blood/faqs/health-faqs/#collapse_22
Hey, sorry about the childhood epilepsy. You know it’s not a thing! Epileptic for life! My kid sister kept in touch with, “The Daughters of the Cross” – whilst at Uni – she had a summer job in a convent in Hertfordshire, the nuns looked after specifically epileptics. It was a beautiful location, it was easy to spot the “patients” – they wore kinda like bicycle helmets. I witnessed a couple of times whilst picking up sis, “they dropped to the floor”. I’m not medically trained, but got out of my car – I couldn’t do anything.
The Daughter’s of the Cross, as far as I’m aware were not implicated in any misgivings. My great aunt lived in Manchester for 20 years in absolute silence. When she returned to Dublin – she made up for it! She wrote letters constant!y to De Valera, then Haughey.. It would be a kind dismissive, her brother, Felix Devlin, Major Genera! Felix Devlin,, my great uncle. Funny thing? I get stopped all the time?
Anyone know what the deal is with so many young’uns being too lazy to use a question mark ? Is it laziness, fecklessness, apathy, disrespect, or what ?
They ask everybody if they’ve had the vaccine as you cannot donate blood for 72 hours after a vaccination.
With COVID regulations they are limited on the number of people they can see each day and there are no walk-ins allowed. With the high uptake of the vaccine and booster jabs they’re just making sure people are aware before making the appointment so that they can allocate that slot to another donor.
Nothing to see here!
