Got on the train and sat behind an Irishman who was a bit tiddly as he was off for a night out with his mates. He was talking to a homeless man opposite, asking him how long he had been homeless for. The man was telling him that he just wanted a job and one day a home…

…the other man just said, ‘God’s truth, If you are not afraid of a bit of hard physical work, I will find you work on my sites. What is having what you need if you can’t give something back? We should look after each other’ my heart is full.

He didn’t need to give the man his card, he should’ve just told him to scan him with his phone. Android settings permitting (obviously).
Android 6 or earlier.
Noted. Hurry up with that article on your aunt.
Ignore it Bodger.
Do we really need to be abroad to experience this?
“And that’s how I came to be mixed up in all that County Lines bother, your honour.”
I giggled.
Is he gonna house the guy as well? Anyone can get labor work. There is always work. There is not always a space to get enough sleep to enable the worker to work optimally. Or if there is, the workers wages will go straight back into the pocket of a landlord. Poverty won;t be solved by empty promises on a train. Hope won’t house the man.
But hope may save your soul.
Here’s hoping.
Nice story.
Can’t we just accept it for what it is ?
A feller thrown a lifeline through a chance meeting.
Marvellous.
Ah that’s great stuff TenPill Terry/Charger Salmons/Admiral Nelson etc etc.
Fair play to you old boy.
If only Paul thought the same – he would never had to write all those letters.
