With jazzy socks. Trudeau is the perfect example of style over substance. An ex drama teacher who spent five years in a minor government position then was bounced onto the main stage on the back of his (step?) father’s name.

@Romnick – you could cringe yourself inside out listening to him. This, the gushing over Kylie, the moronic movie quotes during pandemic press conferences, he’s an awful dose.

      1. K.Cavan

Ah now, SOQ, he also achieved a middle-ranking position as a professional snowboarder! The problem is that he is astonishingly handsome & speaks beautifully, despite being actually quite dim.
The Other Problem is that, after his unprecedented achievement of taking a third-placed party to an overall majority, back in 2015, I think, his support has tanked & he now leads a minority government. More than two-thirds of Canadians did not support him, even before he pulled on the jackboots. His main focus has been the destruction of Canadian society by the simple means of building an alternative one, on top of it.

Barricades across streets and the gridlock caused by 100 or so checkpoints is the police’s doing- nothing else has changed.

He has seven working days to ram martial law through, but it must be voted on by both houses.

          1. SOQ

The truckers protest may be breaking a few bylaws, like parking, but they are being very careful not to break main ones.

Do I have a problem with the authorities creating problems like blocking off emergency lanes then blaming peaceful protesters? Like most fair minded people- yes I do.

          2. SOQ

Is the game to get an extension on the seven work days limit I wonder? Some sort of clause where if the Houses of Parliament cannot sit?

He has walked out three days in a row now, and that Jewish lesbian is on his tail demanding an apology. I doubt if she is going to let it go, and neither should she.

          3. K.Cavan

Trudeau’s minority government, in common with many who co-operated in the creation of this Fake Pandemic, have broken countless laws & defied every important Human Rights convention. The problem is the large number of people who still believe that this was justified by a novel cold virus which had no effect whatsoever on global mortality rates.
Feargananim is operating within an alternative reality, SOQ, the rest of us are stuck in the Real World.

Now imagine water charges are attempted to be introduced again. Anyone refusing to comply could have their bank accounts frozen by the government. If this had been in place in the past, abortion campaigners, gay rights campaigners and so on, could potentially have had their bank accounts targeted by the government. Should Ireland follow Tyrant Trudeaus lead, all the government needs do to crush opposition will be to label their position as misinformation (ably abetted by the media) and possibly label them as “Far Right” “extremists” “domestic terrorists”, take your pick, and they can financially kill off that opposition. This action by Trudeau is completely orwellian and tyrannical and poses an enormous threat to future democracy if allowed stand.

The fact this long predicted (by us conspiraloons) policy has been introduced by one of Schwabs Servants is no great surprise at all.

    1. Micko

I think that’s the main issue Matty.

Regardless of where anyone’s beliefs of whether the truckers are right or wrong, this sets a dangerous precedence for future protests and movements.

The short sightedness of some folks on this is worrying too.

You might not agree with the truckers cause – but the next one might be a cause you DO care about.

      1. Micko

        :-0

Do you want me to go BIBLICAL on you Johnny. DO YOU?

Coz I will!!! ARE YOU READY? ARE YOU!!!

“Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”

        Bib-li-cal…

      2. K.Cavan

You’re forgetting, Micko, short-sightedness is the least of Dolly & her mates’ problems, they’re here to bring us intellectual insights from their teenage world of twitter addiction, while parroting gibberish from the Corporate Media. They managed to squeeze in some of Trudeau’s innane drool, today, as a bonus. Banning actual protest is of no concern to them, once the corporate brand-name protesters are permitted to burn down Afrio-American shops & sexually abuse kids.

    2. K.Cavan

Nail/Hammer interface, E’Matty & there is no doubt that Ireland will follow Canada into this totalitarian future, the groundwork of defining Hate Speech laws is already in progress. Opinions are being criminalised, across the West, in lockstep.
There are hardly any Civil Rights worth mentioning that can not be invalidated by simply defining someone as having “unacceptable opinions”, to quote Trudeau.
The New Normal is not a conspiracy theory, it’s right here, right now, to quote Fatboy Slim.

    3. K.Cavan

The thing is, E’Matty, while decent people who believe in Democracy are appalled by this, Dolly, Fearg & their ilk are happy enough with that state of affairs. Workers striking may get them better conditions or whatever but they do cause a lot of lifestyle problems for middle-class Right-wingers.

  2. Trustin Judeau

Every action has side effects – Trudeaupe trying to seize truckers bank accounts means that confidence in banks is now plummeting and people are withdrawing all their money – bank runs essentially.

    1. K.Cavan

An unexpected side-effect, Trustin but the main effect, of illegally seizing the Freedom Convoy’s money, remains.

    1. K.Cavan

They will never face such ludicrous, politically-motivated charges, they are an obvious, rather hamfisted attempt to besmirch one of the most spectacularly peaceful protests the world has ever seen. Gandhi would wholeheartedly approve.
I’m sure you’re not so stupid as to not realise this, Feargananim.

  3. TheFerg

Here in Spain the news on the telly has a dedicated section to cover all the protests around the country every day. Independence for the Basque and Catalonia, LGBT, tax, civil service, covid rules, compensation for Las Palmas volcano, pensioners…it’s every single day except holidays.
Similar to France, it’s a national passtime.
If the government here tried sometimg like Trudeau there would be a national walkout, absolutely no question about it.

    1. K.Cavan

Spainish media is an outlier in many respects. Spanish newspapers regularly publish photos of the aftermath of wars & terrorism that most other Western media deem too explicit.

  4. Johnny

Any chance splainer on the chart,or does it remind you of Ireland, what does the chart telll you ?
That there is a run on Canadian banks-haha
It’s always great start day with good laugh, what a bunch of..

    lol
Look at that graph / chart

    Yeah
    Look

What am I looking at – haha

  5. Johnny

Do people realize what it means that the government has now told banks that they can seize the assets of people who are involved in cannabis ?

They’ve given banks permission to steal money from their customers….,.it’s been going on for decades.

“Imagine sitting in a cell for years, decades, or even for life, convicted of an activity that is no longer a crime, while thousands of other people build intergenerational wealth doing exactly the same thing.

That is the situation that over 40,000 cannabis prisoners face today in the United States alone, while countless others languish in jails and prisons worldwide.”

    https://www.lastprisonerproject.org/

Any luck with the chart, just scribble something put that up next time,as clearly you haven’t a clue what it means, news site my..

  6. Andy

Steady on everyone… seizing does not mean stealing. Bankers are hardly going to have a champange party with the money!!! Also, if a minority of peoples accounts are frozen for causing so much disruption in the city, then I would say you wouldnt even get a crawl on the banks, never mind a run on them. Majority of people want them to move on!

    1. Johnny

A large support in Tallaght,an older gay man from Belfast appears identify with this separatist group from Medicine Hat and Regina.

    1. f_lawless

Scarlet for ye sharing something like that. Did you spurt your soy latte over your laptop the first time you watched it? ;)

    1. K.Cavan

How about “nobody should worry about government surveillance if they’ve got nothing to hide”, Boe?
      Very simple, indeed.

  7. Horsethieving Dopesniffer

    A Greek tragedy in development.
    Everything is there, pride, arrogance…
