Credit Suisse handled billions of dollars in dirty money for decades, an international media investigation based on a massive data leak claimed in the latest setback for Switzerland’s second-largest bank.

The bank held more than $8 billion (seven billion euros) in accounts of criminals, dictators and human rights abusers, among others, according to the investigation by a group comprising dozens of media organisations.

It was the largest leak ever from a major Swiss bank, OCCRP said.

The leak included information on more than 18,000 bank accounts, many of which “remained open well into the 2010s”, said the OCCRP.

    Dirty filthy banks,never forget.

    After,Nama many commentators / pundits did point out that their would be a capital shortfall to build new irish homes,enter the cuckoo.

    The govt should look again at a state back to better fund the lack of capital from traditional sources like dirty banks,Ireland needs more banks or get used offshore institutions owning irish homes,renting them back….

    This is straight from the guardian, the biggest propaganda press in existence right now, only interested in pushing the covid fake news and supporting Canadaian/worldwide tyranny. This credit swiss thing is only to distract from the fake quotes from bob odenkirk they printed over the weekend re his collapse that ‘wasnt’ due to the vaccine.

      The story FYI was broken by Süddeutsche Zeitung in Germany and for information sources…don’t make me laugh..this site has liberally referenced the Daily Excrement & James Melville (an odious loon and king of the fake phots whose relationship with the truth make Trump & Bojo look like boy scouts) recently…..

      You’re correct about the Guardian’s descent into rag status, though the Credit Suisse alleged money laundering is common practice in Swiss & UK banks and there has been numerous massive fines (but no jail time) paid out over the decades. Everything is a distraction imho, Covid, Ukraine, massive over producing of money leading to hyperinflation, and on and on. I wonder what the wizards of crud really have in store for us. It’ll be more unpleasant shi* for us for sure.
