Ulster Unionist leader @BeattieDoug launched his party’s Stormont Assembly election campaign by declaring that there won’t be a United Ireland within his children’s lifetimes + urging voters to instead focus on issues that affect their lives on a daily basis @rtenews #NI22 #AE22 pic.twitter.com/gyxTTygE0D

This afternoon.
Belfast, Northern Ireland.
He seems nice.

Maybe it is just me but back in the day there was no question as to who was the main Unionists leaders.
Nowadays it is ‘who is HE?’ They seem to change so often.
Therein lies the problem. They never had leaders worthy of the name.
Maybe the days might return that the west retakes it’s industries back and ship building returns to the north
We now see the folly of excuse the pun farming everything out to multinationals in sweatshop economies and give the power to the like of China Russia
We need to become more reliant on Irish made product not Irish brands like Waterford crystal made in Slovakia not Ireland
Let’s face it one pays for Waterford crystal because of its name when manufactured in Waterford by Irish crafts men
Wasn’t the company set up by a man from Czechoslovakia?
Maybe he’s just gone back to his roots.
Who?
He’s right though.
Paddy south of the border sings his rebel songs at the barstool like Beret Boy™ but no-one here really wants a united Ireland.
And even the Catholics up north don’t want to give up their free healthcare and 10 billion snots a year bung from Westminster.
It ain’t happening muppets.
Do threascair an saol is shéid an ghaoth mar smál
Alastrann, Caesar, ‘s an méid sin a bhí ‘na bpáirt;
tá an Teamhair ‘na féar, is féach an Traoi mar tá,
is na Sasanaigh féin do b’fhéidir go bhfaighidís bás!
Don’t you have a serial pederast’s charity work to admire?
As an individual, I would like to see a United Ireland, so please do not speak in the plural on my behalf from the Mittyverse.
Pretty sure as God looks down on the island he created, he does not see the border artificially installed by the British and accepted under duress by an Irish delegation.
Make sure you hit record on your Sky box for the Jimmy Saville series, you know it will not actually name your Pedo Prince that he pimped young girls for, but deep down you know its true.
Balmy night here on my imaginary terrace, with cicadas chirping their mating call, maybe time for a “Dark and Stormy”, if only my life was as amazing as yours……
Only those who purport to be hardline republicans (i.e. who aren’t really) and a few stargazers born after 1990 would really believe that 32 counties is a realistic reality. The fact is that the negatives of either side outweigh the positives of either side. I’m curious to know why you would like a united Ireland? No-one I know down here really cares and no-one I know up there would give up the GB cash cow to be saddled with the lunatic economy down here. Just on the Pedo (sic) prince thing – bless my glass houses, and all that, Father.
There is going to be a united Ireland. Politically, economically and culturally. And it’s going to happen sooner than anyone would like. It’s already started. Even the leader of the Unionist party accepts it, we are now just arguing about the date.
I would view a united as Ireland as correcting a historical wrong that was done by our neighbour. It feels like working timber with a decent splinter in your hand, you can get through the irritation, but there is no better feeling than getting rid of it, even if the exorcism is painful and there is a bit of blood.
There have been no shortage of Irish patriots that have died or suffered for the cause of a unified Ireland, I would sleep better knowing those losses were not in vain, and their supreme sacrifice immortalised in a peaceful untied Ireland would be fair tribute.
A unified Ireland, outside of NATO, the EU and free of a Rothschild bank might be a better place to oppose the great reset from. Hopefully encouraging others to oppose what is coming.
The EU has tried to destroy the national identities of all Europeans, to help create the homogenous easy to govern masses; but I am opposed to the Kellergi plan, and think it could be better resisted as one nation. Divide and conquer is their MO, unity and reconciliation is an antidote.
Growing up as a child, Sunday mornings always seemed to have rebel songs playing in the background, and I have a nostalgia, for I time I never really experienced, for a struggle I never helped with, a weight I never helped shoulder, and an earnest desire to correct the wrongs of the past that still require an English atonement, which will be satisfied only by their departure.
And as for our Pedo priests, they should all be tried and jailed for lengthy sentence’s if found guilty.
Not sure about all of that Sailor Gerry.. we won’t be leaving the EU anytime soon. We won’t be joining NATO anytime soon either. As for the priests, we are completing a full reformation without breaking a window or smashing a statue. They will rot in the hell of their own making. We’ll make sure of that.
Ireland will never be united in any sense of the word.
So what?
