Dublin Airport suspended their key ‘expected wait time’ feature amid the ongoing security chaos.
Delays at the airport continued this weekend as many unhappy passengers took to Twitter to document their long wait times and missed flights.
Some are experiencing up to four-hour queues as staffing issues put pressure on operations which recently led to a cessation of the fast track option.
For the time being it is not possible to book fast-track security and advice to customers is still to allow extra time for these ongoing delays.

Hopefully the fines imposed by the CAR will wipe out any profiteering DAA have made from sacking security workers and rehiring less staff on less hours and less money.
Seems it’s not just hospitality .
The DAA to be fair to them did previously ask for a minuscule increase in departure taxes (€1 per flight iirc) to fund efficiency improvements in the operation of the airport. But were shot down by the government.
I’m fairly sure every single passenger stuck in a 60min security queue would happily pay that €1 extra now.
The extra money was to fund new infrastructure to meet projected growth. That can’t be delivered by daa either because they are incompetent at that too
Incompetent in Dublin, but they are able to get a gig in Jeddah.
Why oh why are Irish public companies looking to expand abroad instead of keeping on top of their original brief, the one they were set up with taxpayers’ money to carry out for Irish people?
Why does the government allow/encourage this?

And as we are price gouged at the pumps and in the shops due to the war ,seems the airline industry are not raising prices due to increase in fuel prices .
Air travel is booming as is price gouging .And government is helpless to stop it all .They can carbon tax us out of existence but airliners they seem to have a free ride.
fuel is the biggest component of an Airlines operating cost and it will drive ticket prices up.
maybe not immediately because of fuel price hedging, but soon!
Crap Pay. Crap hours. Crap Opportunities. DAA is delusional with their job opening expections. Nobody wants these jobs. These aren’t delivery drivers or stacking shelves in a supermarket jobs (no disrespect intended) These are highly pressured positions at undesirable hours. We’re all gonna have to collectively realise that travel is gonna get more expensive because labour shortage has to be sorted with proper pay and structures.
So why the same in London? And that has been going on for most of a week too.

Isolation rules are the problem here, not the virus
