This from the individual who claimed that the tortured dead woman with a swastika carved into her body was a fake from the local morgue? It’s on record.

        1. Fearganainm

You’re lying – again. You were told that the ‘journalist’ Patrick Lancaster had been accused – in a referenced article – of sharing video material that some medical experts regarded as possibly faked. They suggested that at least one of the corpses alleged to be the victim of an IED attack bore the hallmarks of having been subjected to a post-mortem autopsy and ‘placed’ in the footage shared by Lancaster.

This should have alerted you to the possibility that Lancaster is capable of either being deceived by, or playing a part in deceiving with, video and photographic ‘evidence’. And that being so you had – and have – no way of knowing how genuine the images of the burned and mutilated woman were, what their provenance was, and who actually inflicted the marks on her corpse.

It has subsequently been alleged that Russians killed and mutilated the woman and her death forms part of ongoing inquiries. Culpability is contested. The presence of Lancaster and his being a source is no guarantee that ‘evidence’ is authentic.

        2. SOQ

None of that guff could have been as claimed when the video was posted- the time frame could not have allowed it. It is now registered war crime investigation so there is no question of its authenticity. It was a despicable attempt to spin that poor woman’s death.

In this case your comment was within 4-5 minutes of the papers going up which means your story was prepared. While there is no doubt but that horrific things happen within war situations, selective highlighting is just propaganda.

This war started eight years ago and nobody cared less as to how many children nor adults were butchered by the Azov Nazis.

          Hypocrisy of the highest order.

          1. paul

my theory has been damaged, it must be a conspiracy against me and everyone is lying. Time to roll back to older arguments and deflect like the karate master that I am.

          2. bWildered1

You need to cop onto yourself, SOQ.

It should be clear to even the blind who are behaving like NAZIs, and it’s not the Ukrainians.

            Please stop.

          3. SOQ

Ah ok so the Azov are just waving swastikas for the craic then is it?

Just because you find yourself on the wrong team does not make it any less true- the evidence is crystal clear going back for at least ten years- Ukraine is the most nazified country in all of Europe- fact.

          4. bWildered1

            Soq, Stop, just stop.

Who are behaving like the NAZIs?
            Cmon!
            Who invaded who?
Who have bombed the $”!% out of Ukrainian towns and villages, destroying homes and lives?

            What is WRONG with you?

So who is behaving like NAZIs?
            It’s not hard!

            So STOP this nonsense.
You bring shame to yourself, and to all decent people.
            Just STOP.

        3. scottser

so it’s beyond you to express sympathy for the family of a deceased baby, but you’ll go full on nazi finger pointing instead.
          classy.

          1. SOQ

You haven’t the slightest idea what has been going on Ukraine for the past eight years now of you? Even the Ukrainian soldiers when shown the videos did not know.

          2. SOQ

I’m not the one being led by the nose as to what I should or should not believe. You don’t like it then don’t read it.

    1. Kin

Strange none of these reports from 2014 to 2022 as 25 thousand east Ukrainians died as a result of a civil war in all but name as kievs forces did their best
Saw the video of zelensky with his Easter address
This looks like the product of a coke spree totally wired
Meanwhile the smoking gun is being primed for a war with Russia

      1. Nigel

Would those reports include the fact that Putin started the conflict?

‘This looks like the product of a coke spree totally wired’

Amazing hos susceptible you are to the power of suggestion.

‘Meanwhile the smoking gun is being primed for a war with Russia’

        Russia already sstarted the war.

Nanny Mcphee Macron’s face is fighting a losing battle with the Botox.
That smile she was trying to raise never stood a chance.

    1. Fearganainm

She’s 69 years old. Is denigrating a woman’s appearance a British Tory thing or is it just your own misogyny?

      1. TenPin Terry

This from a poster who described Priti Patel as a poisoned dwarf …
I’ll see your misogyny and raise you with your daily racism, Beret Boy.

        1. stephen moran

It’s incompetence i call out and the Miss Rwnada 20202 personifies it.
Imagine this dropping in to canvas for you – with friends like this etc. She looks sooooooooooo glad to see her Minster for Bullying and Losing High Court Judgements. And she is a poisonous dwarf to boot because its ideological and vindictive with her. It Bros can’t bang them he like them thick as shit in his cabinet irrespective of gender.

          Indeed.
The hatred seeps from their every post.
There’s little joy in their sad lives.

        3. Fearganainm

This is the second time in recent days that you’ve accused me of posting something that actually involves another poster. Is there a problem developing for you, or are you just flat out lying (again)?

Away and find the Patel comment that you claim I made. While you’re at it find the unsourced plagiarized camments you also recently alleged came from me.

Guess what you’ll find? Nothing, zero, nada, zilch.

You WILL find your clashes with another poster on such issues. But none from me.

Alzheimers or mendacity – what’s your problem?

          1. TenPin Terry

That’s the second person you’ve accused of lying in this thread alone. A bit of a pattern emerging.
Own your pilfering and bigotry and stop snivelling when you get called out for it Beret Boy™.
Now back to trawling The Guardian to feed your hatred you dullard.

          2. Fearganainm

So you’re admitting, in your own fashion, to lying. You had rows with and made accusations against another poster and then tried to palm off those allegations on me.

Too dishonest to own your own blundering/malice/mendacity you can only offer more tripe.

Maybe you actually do have a memory problem that needs checking out. When you’re trying to accuse one poster of the things you actually raised and disputed with an entirely different poster it’s surely a sign of some kind of mental deterioration.

          3. TenPin Terry

All I can hear is the sound of wailing like a cat that has just been dropped kicked by a Premier League footballer.

Macron’s election win ” magnificent news for Europe ” …
    Really ?
Four out of ten French voters went for an extreme right-wing candidate in an unpopularity contest where the least hated won.
France is more divided than ever.
Still, at least they have an Opposition and a media that doesn’t do anal.
And the Germans ? Frau Merkel’s reign exposed as a fraud and now led by a Putin puppet.
    Europe has never looked weaker.

    1. Mr .T

The age breakdown of who voted for who in France is even more stark.

It’s the 60+ demographic who swung it for Macron, 70-30 split for him.
Looks like the elderly have pulled the rug on the young once again

      1. TenPin Terry

In 2002 Le Pen got 18%.
Five years ago his daughter got 34%. This year she got 41.5%.
And the Smugeratti are celebrating ?

Like most I am somewhat scratching my head as to what is going on in Florida with the up and coming LGBTQ legislation. Disney have somehow become embroiled, and are to have their tax status revoked. I think this is a fairly balanced report from NBC.

“In the same way that critical race theory isn’t being taught in schools, that hasn’t stopped people like the governor of Florida from deploying the term ‘critical race theory’ in efforts to engage in certain kinds of political maneuverings,” said Charlton Copeland, a professor at the University of Miami School of Law who writes about sexual orientation and gender identity. “The ‘Don’t Say Gay’ moniker is a moniker about a certain political framing of this situation.”

    https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/floridas-dont-say-gay-bill-actually-says-rcna19929

    1. paul

Disney have sponsored the bill in the past but their employees were fairly disgusted by the support and Disney’s new halfway approach of ‘sort-of not supporting it’ (this year I think) that they also slapped down. Disney then came out against the bill and have now been accused of sexualising children. Florida really covering itself in glory these days.

Why We Sued to Overturn the Federal Travel Mask Mandate — And Why We Won.

In America, the ends don’t justify the means. There are legal guardrails in place to protect our basic liberties and rights — even during a pandemic.

    By Leslie Manookian

The CDC circumvented a required notice and comment period and issued no scientific justifications for the specifics of the order.

Despite telling us all for years to “follow the science,” the CDC cited no scientific research to justify the mandate, nor did it offer justification for choosing the age of 2 for its exemption — clearly indicating the agency arbitrarily chose that age.

Bloody Sunday: PPS attempting to appeal decision to quash the dropping of murder charges against Soldier F

“The Public Prosecution Service is attempting to appeal the quashing of its decision to drop murder charges against a British Army veteran over shootings on Bloody Sunday, it emerged today. Lawyers for the authority have lodged grounds on which they want the Supreme Court to rule on the legal dispute about whether Soldier F should stand trial for two of the killings in Derry 50 years ago. Dismayed relatives of one of the victims said the development would do little to repair damaged confidence in the PPS…”

“I greatly welcome the shadow Minister’s commitment to the rule of law in amendment 1. Almost 50 years ago 14 unarmed civil rights marchers were murdered on the streets of Derry by the Parachute Regiment. Five of those victims were shot by David Cleary, otherwise known as soldier F. For 50 years he has been granted anonymity; now the Government want to give him an amnesty. Does the shadow Minister agree that nobody—none of the perpetrators involved in murder during our troubles—should be granted an amnesty?”

UK Defence Secretary has been briefing MPs on the scale of Blighty’s involvement in Ukraine this afternoon.
It has included more than 5,000 anti-tank missiles and five air defence systems with more than 100 missiles.
and just under 1,400 anti-structural munitions have been sent to the country along with 4.5 tonnes of plastic explosives.
UK Starstreak anti-air missiles have been deployed in Ukraine for three weeks.
The UK estimates approximately 15,000 Russian personnel have been killed during the offensive.
More than 2,000 Russian armoured vehicles have been destroyed or captured, including at least 530 tanks.
Real weapons and real help for Ukraine while the Germans prevaricate and try to wheedle their way out.
    Nothing new there then.

Looking at the weather forecasts it’s been quite choppy in the Channel over the weekend, so it’s probably too early to know if this is the Rwanda deterrent effect manifesting itself earlier than most expected, or mainly down to bad weather.
But good news so far, particularly for all those refugees going through the official channels and not illegally across the English Channel.

Sweden and Finland agree to submit NATO applications, say reports

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/apr/25/sweden-and-finland-agree-to-submit-nato-applications

“Sweden and Finland have agreed to submit simultaneous membership applications to the US-led NATO alliance as early as the middle of next month, Nordic media have reported. The Finnish daily Iltalehti said on Monday that Stockholm had “suggested the two countries indicate their willingness to join” on the same day, and that Helsinki had agreed “as long as the Swedish government has made its decision”. The Swedish newspaper Expressen cited government sources as confirming the report. The two countries’ prime ministers said this month they were deliberating the question, arguing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine had changed Europe’s “whole security landscape” and “dramatically shaped mindsets” in the Nordic region…”

    https://www.spiked-online.com/2022/04/25/the-war-in-ukraine-is-not-a-western-plot/

“…So, for example, you have people running around saying Ukraine is overrun by Nazis. I’m a Jewish Russian guy who goes to Ukraine three times a year. And every bloody time I get on the plane, do you know who is on board? It’s me and 299 Orthodox Jews, who are on a pilgrimage to Uman, in Ukraine, in full garb. So if this was a country overrun by Nazis, I don’t know how far my fellow passengers would get. So the difficulty for me comes from people who maybe don’t know enough about Ukraine just regurgitating certain things…”

“…One of the things that has really bothered me, particularly in the first few weeks of the conflict, is how I would watch something on Russian propaganda TV, and then a week later I would start to see that piece of propaganda popping up on Twitter from the people who don’t themselves watch Russian TV. But those ideas from Russian TV are somehow being laundered and popping up a week later in Western discourse…”

Barrister accused of murder to get interview videos

    https://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/courts/district-court/barrister-accused-of-murder-to-get-interview-videos-1.4861518

“A judge has ordered gardaí to hand over copies of interview videos to a senior barrister accused of murdering a man in a shooting on farmland in Dublin. Law professor Diarmuid Rossa Phelan, 53, is charged with the murder of father of four, Keith Conlon, at Hazelgrove Farm, Kiltalown Lane, Tallaght, on February 22nd. After the shooting of his dog, Mr Conlon, from Kiltalown Park in Tallaght, was shot and fatally wounded during the incident on Mr Phelan’s farm. The dog breeder was rushed to Tallaght University Hospital but died two days later. The High Court refused Mr Phelan bail in March, but the Court of Appeal overturned that decision earlier this month. He has taken up €100,000 bail, and his case was listed for mention at Dublin District Court on Monday. He came to the courthouse but did not address the proceedings. Judge Bryan Smyth heard the defence sought an order under section 56 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 for the provision of copies of the recordings from his interviews when he was held for three days’ questioning in February.

The State objected to them being made available at this stage in the proceedings. Detective Garda Michael McGrath said the order was normally made when the book of evidence had been completed and served on an accused. Det Gda McGrath said the full investigation file would be with the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) by the end of May or early June. However, neither the DPP nor the directing officer has seen the file yet. In those circumstances, the detective added it was “extremely premature” for the defence to seek the interview videos. He also said that Mr Phelan was interviewed several times with a solicitor present. Defence counsel Karl Monaghan submitted that this did not militate against the application. Judge Smyth said while it seemed unusual to make the section 56 order at this stage, it was in the legislation. He granted the order but said gardaí needed “reasonable time” and must comply by May 9th. He adjourned the case until July 18th for the DPP’s directions to be obtained…”
