Yesterday.

Falls Church, Virginia, Washington DC, USA

Pro-choice protesters dressed as characters from telly’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” marched outside Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s surburban home in response to a leaked draft opinion which indicates that the Supreme Court is set to overturn Roe v. Wade.

These fuppin’ Handmaid’s Tales costume tropes are as boring and ineffective as the V for Vendetta ones.

Here they come in Ireland too.

Why protestors are allowed near anyone’s home like that. Remember when Simon Harris’s place was picketed? Same kind of mentality.

In the US It’s a First Amendment thing. It why protesters can scream at women going into clinics and that Church can wave ‘God hates fags’ signs at lgtbq funerals.

If you’re bored of the Handmaid’s Tale, imagine how the women being forced to live it feel.

This behaviour plays right into the hands of the Republicans too, especially when they harass judges at their homes. They will embolden the Christian right wing.
So they are actually damaging the Democrats power in the next elections. USA liberalism (today) is politically tone deaf and dumb, but hey, at least they got to dress up as characters from their fave TV show.

No, it doesn’t. It plays right into the hands of American women who want access to health care and know the Republicans want to take it away from them. Why the hell do the Democrats and liberals have their behaviour policed and scolded while the Republicans can act like sociopaths and proclaim horrible beliefs and obvious lies? Liberal women dress up in red and walk around, conservatives wave terrifying guns and storm government offices and buildings. The Republicans manufacture outrage 24/7, out of everything and anything and nothing, precisely in order to stop liberals from doing anything, and you help.

      Well it’s Bidens America now
It’s resembling Gilead more and more each week
Remember wade vs roe has .Been going on a long time
With it weakened in 1989 and knowing that the so called liberals just did nothing and waited until now which was too late
These justices are only doing their job ensuring laws complied to the US constitution
Seems sleepy joe was asleep and boy when I saw the size of his family bible it reminded me of a book out of a horror story about 20 times the size of the bible that is from the White House that every president elected ever swore allegiance to the USA in the whole history of the USA

      GOD LOVE THEM
MEANWHILE the west is sleepwalking into WW3 and under joe you could say sleepwalking

‘These justices are only doing their job ensuring laws complied to the US constitution’

They all accepted it was settled law during their appointment hearings, under oath.

I think the most apt observation which the protesters do not perhaps get is that she Amy coney is a brainwashed handmaiden

Children are awful – let’s kill them.

Children are great – let’s rent wombs and buy them.

    Helluva society.

      Yep abortion on demand
A great nation where abortion replaces the morning after pill
I suppose now they will be importing aborted Foetuses for stem cell research
All these abortion clinics will face the same fate as tanning salons
You would of thought some one would of copped onto the the fact that over 12 successful challenges had gone through the courts which included Webster vs planned parenthood
But hey as each ate away at the roe vs wade ruling leaving it so exposed liberals were so arrogant and seemed invincible
Now they are all crying foul and blaming their Supreme Court judges that were passed and deemed fit for the job

      1. Nigel

Blaming the judges who are set to repeal Roe V Wade for being set to repeal Roe V Wade? You’re eating your own tail.

The discreet charm of the (US, female) bourgeoisie. A debate about abortion rights reduced to cosplay. I saw a pic of a young female pro-abortion protester recently, carrying a placard that read “I wish my mother had aborted me”. I couldn’t help thinking #metoo.
I think we’re passed Peak America, downhill all the way, from here.
Still, let’s just follow them on one last military misadventure, what could go wrong? They’re the leaders of “The Free World”, after all.

Presumably these people protesting at judge’s homes (illegal in US law by the way) are the same people that called for laws to prevent prayer vigils outside abortion clinics. One law for everyone else; no laws for liberals (unless written by them).
