Diageo Brewhouse No 4, St James’ Gate, Dublin
There’s never been much of a doubt,
That the Irish are fond of their stout,
For six scary years,
It lost ground to craft beers,
A habit we all must stamp out.

…what brought on this epiphany…Moynes must have shaved. I heard we have reached peak beard alright.
Guinness is served so cold these days you need mittens to hold the pint glass.
I suppose it makes the foul swill that it is marginally more palatable…..
Whatever about the temperature, barmen still insist on pouring it in two goes.
Drink a good IPA for a while and Guinness starts to taste even more like ice cold phlegm.
Or maybe drink a different stout rather than an IPA? That would make more sense.
Was that a Hipster fail there by dylad?
It was.
Good to see those plucky underdogs catch a break, isn’t it?
I’m a big fan of ales and what not but most of the “craft” beers knocking about are utter pish. Call it craft, whack on a premium price and watch the bearded hoards lap it up. Smart business.
Hate Diagio but love Guinness.
Help me!
Why you hate diagio?
“I don’t want to put pressure on Diageo, but we simply baulked at paying a higher price for Guinness in Ireland than we do in the UK”
“informed industry sources have said the price of beer sold to publicans in Ireland is up to 20 per cent higher than in the UK”

That’s why we hate Diageo, it’s because they rip us off.
