All those brave men who left all the women and children in Syria alone to try and survive. Because they wouldn’t have been allowed on a plane or ferry in the first place. If they’re Syrian, for example, there aren’t any European embassies left there, so where are they going to apply for a visa? Many may not have passports, for a variety of reasons (war being, well, the major one that’d shut down passport offices). So money is not the issue, documents are. Also: WUT?? You really think people will risk their lives, and the lives of their families, handing over enormous sums of money for the privilege, because they *actually* have an alternative? How stupid do you really think other people are?

I think you missed the point. To put it another way why not allow these people move about freely, are we protecting our culture, our social welfare system are we afraid they will enslave/kill us?
