Was in ME before on Irish phone, get rid. Buy PAYG sim for over there.
Joe
You’d get 2GB for less than €5 on any of the local networks, and a Moto G or something to put it in with the money you’ll save on roaming.
sqoid
Hoping it should read “Max €7.20/day to use web”
meadowlark
Ah, 3 is there any low to which you will not stoop?
Disasta
I pay the same rate everywhere, and if I’ve data left I can use it abroad. Vodafone Business.
Would touch 3 with a lepers mickey after a few months with them. (cancelled contract).

Same here. Worst ever excuse for a phone operator. Customer service appalling. Crap service, apart from cities. 4G – haw hawwww. Maybe in a city, in some places.
Using Vodafone for 2 years now.

It’s time like this we should be thankful we have those bureaucrats in Brussels delivering us better roaming rate!
Neilo
Quite!

They are also the people responsible for everyone having the same phone charger, too (well, aside from Apple fanboys).
I, for one, welcome our Eurocrat overlords.

Ye the SamsungLG/Other style phone charger is really intelligent. Non reversible. Intelligent design at its best.
Rob_G
True; but at least you don’t have to get a new charger every time you get a new phone any more.
It wasn’t an EU thing until an Irish man took the initiative to push for universal plugs…
Apple of course doesn’t give a tuppenny fupp about the environment, which was the reasoning for the universal plug chargers, and wanted to keep their “brand” separate from every other phone brand so they could charge a premium price for what is today, a bog standard product.
Lets not for get that. Good mam… whoever he was, I’ve forgotten.
Sido
3 – gauging their customers since buying O2
Neilo
Gauging and gouging is right, Sido

I’m in Russia, and also have the €7.12 rate. 3 don’t have any package that covers this part of the world.
I obviously use a local number when I am here, but whenever there is a query on the account, 3 will call me, on roaming, despite instructions not to, and use up all my available credit.
Mister Mister
Don’t answer then ?
Disasta
Probably goes to voicemail anyway costing you money.

research WIFI !!!!!!!
Colm
The worst i’ve ever had was in America, on meteor.
€15.12 per MB for 3MB, afterward you’ve spent €45.36 on 3MB of Data, they would very kindly give you an additional 47MB of data at no additional cost.
Vodafone Red Roaming is the best data deal you will get at the moment.
Garthicus
I’m in South Africa for the week, got this text a few mins ago, they don’t seem to know South Africa isn’t in the EU
From Three: The standard rate for data roaming in the EU is 24.60c per MB inc Vat. See: http://www.three.ie/web/roaming/ for all rates.
