Well done Michael Conlon, seems like a very deserving fella.

But it’s not enough to drag me down to Ray D’Arcy – be he on telly or wireless.

For some reason I saw the Late Late when Bruce Jones was (presumably) last on it. He’s one of those guests who’s so dumb himself that he think he needs to dumb himself down for an Irish audience. Like Prof Green in the last few weeks, though to be fair he was talking to Tubridy.

And Roz Purcell joins Ray on the couch to talk about what is essentially a Tinder profile bio…

So instead of listening to Ray preach from his pulpit about the brutality of combat sports, like he did previously on the radio about MMA, we get to watch him in “glorious” HD fawn & gush over Conlon now that he’s a (well deserved, I might add) world champion?

    Yeah, I’ll pass, thanks.

Meanwhile on RTÉ2, Second Captains live are in Cardiff to talk about the French win over BNZ and preview Ireland’s demolition of the Argies. TV3 will also be talking rugby. TG4 are showing Bomb girls. UTV Ireland have Jonathan Ross who is joined by Vin Diesel, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse.

Plenty of non-preachy Ray options thanks be to Saorview.

but more importantly Jonathan ross is back on ITV- nothing not even Ross is worth shticking on the utterly irrelevant channel utv Ireland

Not even someone launching Ted in at Ray could salvage this scutter.

It’s worse then watching celery boil.

  7. Puntastic

For a website that likes to point out typo’s, spelling the surname as Conlon as opposed to Conlan is a tad unfortunate!!

  8. Ming

He’s after stealing the Late Late Show formula!

One Irish/RTE celeb, One UK/Media celeb, One punter in the news that week!!!

    Puke.

a foul saturday night programme, unsettlingly serious in tone. Brendan was poor but we could at least laugh at it.
