looks like Renua can’t afford a ladder in Dublin West. Every single poster I’ve spotted is illegally low…

Spotted in Dublin 7: landlord makes a statement. No idea what the tenants think about it.

We need to set up a heavily armed enforcement unit for poster protocol. Its the only way we can prevent these atrocities.
who cares what the tenants says ? It’s not their house.
tenants are the new homeless ….can do no wrong and above reproach.
anyway who wouldn’t want FF back in power…they are the best placed to handle the boom times.
I suggest that we demand from our local politicians that they ensure the law is properly enforced by the litter wardens.
They could start by ensuring budget was allocated for litter wardens.
I say we take off and nuke each pole from orbit.
It’s the only way to be sure.
Landlord supporting FF…whatever next?
Tis probably her that owns it.
Dublin 18 is covered in posters this low, it was the first thing I noticed this morning.
Where did you sleep last night?
If they’re too low, just rip them down and give them back, and say “hey, I thought I’d save you a fine”.
Jimmy Good Citizen Tip Of The Day
That’s a lot of effort though. I prefer the observant moan in the pub or workplace myself.
I don’t think there are any rules specifically about the height of posters. So long as it’s not causing disruption or obstructing the path or traffic signs I don’t see the problem. Not ideal obviously, but lets not start promoting vandalism.
(I hate the posters altogether and would be in favour of proposals to have designated poster areas, or do away with them altogether. And don’t get me started on all the cable ties that will be left behind… or the Sinn Fein posters that will be left there for weeks if the last election is anything to go by)
Oh, I wouldn’t promote vandalism, I’d be saving them the fines !!
Posters……2015!
Mad Ted!
nearly got decapitated by a low lying poster last night!
A woman back in 2011 had part of her scalp taken off by a Fianna Fáil poster. She successfully sued the party for €50k damages at a time when they only had €250k in party funds. I was kinda hoping their posters claimed a few more victims so that they’d be wiped out financially. No such luck.
*cough*
2016
Would a sign like that need planning permission?
Posters down that low are just begging for the black marker treatment. May I suggest ‘Vote No to Jo o’Brien’ to the good people of Dublin West
To right! A bit of black marker is always funny, for everyone. A few simple options are:
Jo O’Brien: is gay (I know we kinda lost this slag with the mar ref, but it takes me back, ya know)
Jo O’Brien: loves c**k (from 9 to 90, still funny)
Jo O’Brien: is a man (could be deemed a fact)
Jo O’Brien: (Hitler Mustache)
Mary Fitzpatrick: lives here (she brought that on herself)
On you go.
cock n balls out of the forehead, mate – you don’t mess with the classics :)
Christ ff supporters are as thick as inda kenny
Where does it stipulate the height posters should be?
I did find this: http://www.tipjunkie.com/post/mustaches/
Yes! I’m buying a nice thick permanent black marker. Vampire fangs and Hitler moustaches all round!
