Actually I thought it was a very good show. It showed a side to Hopkins never seen before, especially the facts that her husband is quite left wing and a vegan .

In fairness though, that Hopkins yoke is an unwashed nether region of the highest order. “May she die screaming for a priest” as they say.
I wouldn’t have any time for her, but her entire career is based on her trying to generate outrage. I doubt that she believes half the stuff she says; if people didn’t allow themselves to become so upset at her nonsense, she would fade way into obscurity in short order.
Fair point, she’s doing what she’s paid to do I suppose. The wagon.
But whether or not she believes what she says is irrelevant. She says it, other people who truly believe it feel empowered and echo it, and the targets or victims of her hateful tirades probably don’t care if she really means it or not, they’re still being undeservedly targeted. Ignoring her is not really an option as it just allows her and her followers to go more extreme with their rhetoric. Mocking her is probably the best defence, tbh.
I respectfully disagree – the main reason that newspapers publish the likes of Katie Hopkins & Kevin Myers is that they know they will get a reaction and generate follow up articles of people expressing their outrage, etc.
If people reacted instead with a shrug, their would be a lot less of an incentive for newspapers to keep these contrarians on their payroll.
