Mind you if you actually look at the silverware you will see with Irish silver the finest in the world along with furniture made in a bygone era where craftsmanship was on a level far greater than you could appreciate
And crystal was regarded the finest in the world
Now we see Waterford crystal made in Estonia where they use the brands name to see cheap tat
My father when young was a French polisher and he showed me what hard work and expertise went into French polishing
If you look at the stunning wrought iron work around the houses of parliament you will see craftsmanship from Irish men
Its a pity Ireland turned its back on such crafts

Couldnt agree more, a grand uncle was a french polisher, unreal amount of effort involved.
