      That is whack, yo, but in the US if you don’t fund the military obscene amounts of money you’re seen as weak on national security, so while mind-boggling and depressing (the US military is the biggrst polluter in the world), not actually some sort of contradiction in the context of US politics.

        Donald Trump is the Commander in Chief of the US military. It’s a complete contradiction in the context of US politics or otherwise. Calling for the impeachment of a president on the grounds of national security while at the same time approving an insane military budget is a shining example of how the US political system is a sham. Corporate power and money take precedent over party politics. “Can’t be seen as weak on security” is just a fig leaf used to mask the reality that the military industrial complex has both the Republican and Democrat parties in their pocket. A new space army and funding endless wars are not priorities for the majority of US citizens.

          I mean, I don’t disagree with this, either, but locking children in cages, splitting up families, stripping environmental protections, going bankrupt over medical treatments and witholding aid to get faked up dirt on a political rival aren’t priorities of the majority of US citizens, either, but there we go.

        Well, for a start, he doesn’t need to be accused of actual crimes to be impeached, but of abuse of office. Yes, please, Trump. Do go.

          The impeachment was done in public. If you want the specifics, that’s where they are. If you want to take issue with them, go ahead, but be specific yourself.

    Interesting. Congress adopted eleven articles of impeachment against president Andrew Johnson in 1868

    The last two were interesting:
    – Making three speeches with intent to “attempt to bring into disgrace, ridicule, hatred, contempt and reproach, the Congress of the United States”.
    – Bringing disgrace and ridicule to the presidency by his aforementioned words and actions.

    I wonder if Trump could be accused of these two too?

        …a lose:lose in US elections…but some losses are more unequal than others…just think how many millions would still be alive without Bush or Obama…not to mention the carnage wrought by crooked Hillary as foreign secretary…thankfully, she never got her finger on the button…
