World Darts Champion Peter Wright

Most sport is currently suspended in the UK but this Friday the PDC is launching a new tournament featuring darts players in their own homes.

The PDC Home Tour, will see all players with a tour card have the chance to feature across 32 consecutive nights.

Four players will be in action each evening in a league format before the knockout stage of the competition

In fairness.

Any excuse.

Any excuse 2.

It is the way Smith and Jones play it!

Thanks for that link again, I needed a chuckle.

And it is a sport, just not a competitive athletic or physical event. It would come under sport definition of “game”, and I would class it in the same league as snooker, The skill at that level is really incredible. And while I do recall lots of pints drunk in some early televised events, the more modern game is much more focussed.

Just in case you are wondering, no I do not follow it, and have had the luxury of once sending all my darts in at least the same direction, and only one hit the board :)

it’s a pub game, like don or chess. fair amount of skill involved in those too but they’re not sports.

I watched and had a punt on this format the other night. Fairly miserable to be honest. The darts is really nothing without drunken crowd reactions and slow mo shots of belly jiggling..
I’d prefer to watch re runs where I can’t remember /don’t know the outcome..

Forearm would be great site to tattoo sponsor’s logo – though not so good if deal fell through. Ouch.

They could always tattoo green rectangles, and the latest sponsor’s advert could be put in by computer.
