Me Auld Flour

Baking in lockdown?

Missing a vital ingredient?

Read on.

Roscrea [County Tipperary] based, Stapleton’s Bakery, has commenced selling flour to meet increased consumer demand for the product amid shortages.

The business is to introduce 1kg retail packs which will be on the shelves at Aldi from this week and available to buy direct from the bakery.

The Bakery’s pivot to selling flour came about after it was highlighted across the media that consumers were struggling to purchase flour from supermarkets in recent weeks.

I’ve tested two bakes with no flour
    Traybakes so no kit needed

One is something the U-10s in the gaff can work away on, and its a great on the go brekkie thing to have in the biscuit tin
the other is a bit more feckie, with the list of ingredients but easy, and a great sponge for custard

Anyway if ye want them, or if there’s any interest
    ping me @vanessa_foran

Saw bags of Stapletons wholemeal flower in Aldi today. Good luck to them in this baking epidemic.
