The Sackler family moving all their money out of Purdue Pharma after it pled guilty to criminal charges for contributing to the opioid crisis, not leaving enough to pay damages to victims, is the sort of thing the top 5% get up to and get away with, so I reckon they can be squeezed until they squeak.

It’s the rare exception where I am perfectly happy to exercise prejudice and judge them all by the actions of a few.

@ Nigel – hate to be the one to tell you, but you are for certain in the top 5% richest people in the world.

Well, I am certain in terms of income; in terms of assets, I’m not sure. But probably.

well, I suggest you look the figures for yourself if you don’t believe me.

Anyone privileged enough to go around saying “eat the rich” (ironically or otherwise) would likely be considered ‘rich’ my most people in the world.

    But they already have.

They spent billions on its development and global PR, not to mention the PUPs and vaccine.

The purchase of the WHO was not cheap.

Bill did not like being egged.

    Ben,
Hate to be splitting hairs, in my humble opinion there is a difference between investing in something and paying for it? Who doesn’t love a good conspiracy…..

In fairness, eamonn, this is a satirical website.

I was trying to be …..

I return your Happy Friday and wish you and yours a Happy Christmas.

      P.S.

Leave my balding head alone, please.

      No more splitting.

      P.P.S.

Bill was actually egged. Best. Reaction. Ever.

Her impact on the US political system is something to behold and admire.

        Not bad for a bartender.

Must have been inspired by all those barstool experts.

€47.38 for custom made apparel is quite reasonable, IMO – plus you get the political message for free.

The fact that you’d have to check to make sure because that would be the assumption shows how right she is.

I was on board until the symbol of communist oppression was sprayed on at the end.

How’s about we change things properly instead of calling moderate Conservatives fascists and pining for the good old days of gulags and 20 million plus dead comrades?
