Spot The Fash

Can you find Blueshirts founder Eoin O’Duffy in the mural (above) at Knockaconny, County Monaghan (top)?

The inclusion [of Eoin O’Duffy], in what is an otherwise impressive piece of art, does not sit well with its own description as ‘a progressive and vibrant school working to the highest standards in teaching and learning’. In fact, it only taints the reputation of this multi-denominational school and demeans other individuals depicted on the mural.

I would have thought this is both inclusive and acknowledging the mistakes of our past – It’s Monaghan we’ll do what we like and ye snowflakes can run and do one!

    New Monaghan Tourist Slogan:

“Visit Pure Monaghan. There’s a bit of fascist in all of us”

Waiting for some folks to start giving out about the inclusion of Sam McConkey…

O’Duffy’s men arrived in Spain and were promptly invited to execute a number of young republican girls. They turned out to be most unenthusiastic and were dismissed as hopeless by their Spanish fascist friends.

Who’s idea was that? I don’t see how a fascist can be put forward as a role model for kids. Idiotic decision.
