“In 2020, China won the trade war, science and technology war, and especially the biological war…

“The Western model has failed, the 500-year maritime civilization is doomed, the CCP has won and will lead the way of the modernization in the new era after the biology revolution…

“…the U.S. was beaten back to its original shape.”

Ping Chen, a professor at Peking University and senior researcher at the CCP-affiliated think tank China Institute of Fudan University.

But Simon and Leo need to be seen by the people, they will actually evaporate into nothing if their smary faces arent viewed at least once a day.

no it doesn’t. there is a world of difference between the noxious regime of the ccp and the chinese people, who as we are know are a great bunch of lads. see also; zionism and jewish people or indeed the tories and the english.

It’s a bit like asking a dedicated trump supporter about how great america became under him and/or asking a dedicated biden reporter to describe just bad trump was… or having the iranian guy, who knows the secret police are likely nearby, shout death to america for the tv cameras…. is your man in the video looking for a promotion or something at the moment or is he worried the CCP are going to look into his ‘academic’ expense accounts?

If his family is extended, is it because they’ve already had their necks stretched?

        Sorry.
        Sorry.

This is dodgy. Why is Broadsheet giving the impression that the professor said “after the 2020 CCP Virus pandemic” when it’s not in the subtitles?

Chen: “After this trade war and biological warfare, the U.S. was beaten back to its original shape.”

It’s a widely-held view in the China that the virus was introduced into China from abroad. So the assumption here would be that the professor believes the viral outbreak in China was an act of biological war by the US.

Last year China dodged a bullet as the 3 gorges dam buckled but didn’t break. 450 million living downstream and many nuclear facilities. Wuhan 30 mins. from a 2.4 km. wide wave 100 metres high and travelling at 100 kph. Sinograin granaries full of mouldy old grains and salt water intrusions onto the fields of failing crops mean the boasting and gloating is premature.

He seems to be saying that neoliberalism isn’t a good model. I’m not sure why that would be controversial, particularly to Broadsheet readers.
