This morning/afternoon.
Tara Street and Poolbeg Street, Dublin 2

Will the demolished building be replaced with something that may have a longer shelf life?
Probably not, most likely it will be replaced with a building with an even shorter life span that the existing one.
I guarantee before I die I will witness the demolition of the new fangled children’s hospital and I doubt I have even 50 years left.
Will it be apartments/houses?
…. too soon?..
“Welcome to the newest student co-living professional hot-desk hotel in the heart of Dublin’s famous Metro Quarter”
All of the things you listed are favourable to a derelict building, tbh.
Unless you consider the opportunity cost of what else could go there, like a white water rafting park hahaha
A 10 story water slide rafting complex
Like a multi story carpark, but covered in water
That’ll do wonders for Irish tourism
“Metro Quarter” I’d say they might try of Tara Quarter or Townsend Quarter…
The use of “Quarter” must be banned unless it refers to a place that was know as a “Quarter” pre-1950… which is probably nowhere in Ireland… hopefully???… can we start a petition about this???
Oh yeah those do sound better. I just really miss that old Metro Burger sign.
