White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Tuesday that a door-to-door canvassing effort begun during the White House’s “Month of Action” in June would be part of the new effort to surge vaccination rates in states where the numbers of Covid-19 vaccinations are lowest.

Ms Psaki said that the campaign would include “targeted, community-by-community, door-to-door outreach to get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need about both how safe and accessible the vaccine is”.

Tuskegee, the infamous U.S. study of syphilis that left Black men in Tuskegee, to suffer from the disease. Or, the “Asexualization Acts” that led to the sterilization of more than 20,000 California men and women in the 20th Century. A reminder that such eugenics based thinking wasn’t exclusive to Nazi Germany (actually predominantly British in origin, though it was the Anglo American wing who brought it to Hitler’s Universities).

            For example, J. Marion Sims, the “father of modern gynecology,” developed his technique for repairing vaginal fistulae by experimenting on enslaved women, without anesthesia. In his autobiography he recalled operating one woman, Lucy, whose “agony was extreme”; another, named Anarcha, endured 30 such operations at Sims’ hands. (A statue of Sims remained on display in Central Park until 2018, when it was removed under public pressure.)

            The medical abuse of Black people in the name of medicine continued even after their death. Medical colleges paid enslavers and grave robbers alike for bodies of the Black dead, which were then used to teach cadres of young doctors about human anatomy. This practice continued after the end of the Civil War, and stories of “night doctors” who murdered Black Southerners ran rampant amid the larger climate of post-bellum racial terrorism.

            But, they were doctors, medical professionals and administrators and we’re never ever to dare question them. Such positions engender the person with the title “expert which brings with it a high priest-like infallibility, and certainly places such a person beyond the responsibility to ever explain themselves to mere mortals. Those black communities should stop being such conspiracy theorists and tin foil hatters, ignore history and place their health and that of their families without question in the hands of the same medical community. Anything else would be reckless, irresponsible and selfish, or so we’re told…

            In reference to a comment you make below, I’d say vaccine hesitancy for POC is not restricted to the US, it’s an issue in every country where people look seriously. Michael Marmot isn’t really to my taste, but he does a decent enough job of highlighting the impact of racism and structural violence on health in the UK. Epidemiologist colleagues tell me that there are also plenty of indications of similar trends in Europe, although harder to dig up in the literature. I suspect that the public health systems in (continental) Europe are however less focussed on race as a determinant of health than in US and UK, so it’s not as evident in published analysis. However, when public health makes specific efforts to encourage vaccination for POC in the UK, the results for some vaccines are pretty impressive. For the last 10 years or so, the UK govt have specifically targeted pregnant women from specific (racial) backgrounds for a birth dose of HBV, and the vast majority of women at risk (per UK guidelines) were vaccinated, a serious improvement over the previous years. That said, the idea of targeting people for vaccination based on their skin colour is icky, and results aren’t consistent for all vaccines.

            E’Matty, I did, I commented on it yesterday, f_lawless referred to a document that referenced it: we disagree on the conclusion in the most polite manner possible. (as briefly as possible, my main gripe is that most of the relevant numbers from the study have been in the public domain as part of Pfizer’s EPAR since at least February, and Pfizer explictly point out in the EPAR that the radio tags from the vaccine type LNPs are found in the gonads. Pfizer’s opinion is that <0.1% of the administered dose of the LNPs is found in the gonads. f_ remarked that Malone believes this is 'high'. I don't agree with that. He pointed out that one shouldn't take the opinion of an anonymous commenter on the internet (named after a British Prime Minister) very seriously. I don't know who he is referring to of course, but I certainly endorse his opinion.

          e.g. US in 2020: 500,000+ excess deaths; 350,000+ Covid deaths; There are 150,000 unexplained deaths – many of these were most likely Covid.

          UK had a similar 72,000 Covid deaths, and 80,000 excess deaths.

          They died due to Covid.

    The strategy for a huge but gradual reduction in population, in order to meet the UN’s 2030 Carbon reduction & other demands, without panicking the herd or creating the need for mass cremation facilities spewing out more greenhouse gasses, is best achieved by a reasonable number of people dying from October onwards (in Ireland at least), from the effects of normal, seasonal infections, having had their immune systems primed by the current round of injections.

    These deaths will be blamed on variants, additional injections will be mandated & the following Winter, another wave of “variants” will sweep away a portion of the population, creating the need for another round of injections. Thus gradual but huge population reduction is achieved.

    These elites may be psychopaths but they are highly intelligent & have been at this for some time, working out how to replicate the effects of their wars, without the infrastructure damage & general messiness involved in that & finally, when the required number of deaths has been achieved, VC day will be announced.
