On 1 July, an EU Regulation to facilitate free movement, binding on every EU state came into force. The Taoiseach didn’t even seem aware of new Irish Regulations, made on 4 July, invalidly continuing the offence of “non-essential travel” to EU states. pic.twitter.com/WcQHV359N7

As usual, the Clown Comhairle saves the day for halfway up/halfway down Michilin (who doesn’t seem to have a clue what he’s doing)
Kinda scary to witness the level of incompetence displayed by Mick there. It will not go unnoticed in London or Brussels.
Would that be the regulation which prevents travel restrictions ““unless they are necessary and proportionate to safeguard public health”?
Also there is a time period of several weeks for implementation of the Covid passport. Nobody in Ireland can get one yet so nobody can travel under the new regulations unless they have visited Ireland from another EU country in which case the return journey would be an essential journey. McNamara is wrong.
Incorrect:
Article 15.2
Where a Member State is not able to issue the certificates referred to in Article 3(1) in a format that complies with this Regulation from 1 July 2021, it shall inform the Commission and the other Member States accordingly. Where they contain the data set out in the Annex, the COVID-19 certificates issued by such a Member State in a format that does not comply with this Regulation shall be accepted by the other Member States in accordance with Article 5(5), Article 6(5) and Article 7(8) until 12 August 2021.
Theres still a €2000 fine for leaving Ireland in place. Our Taoiseach claiming “everyone is free to travel” is either deliberately lying, or is apparently completely unaware of what rules we have in place.

This. He is lying. And it needs to be called out, but it won’t be.
A bought and paid for stooge. Only waiting to draw down the pension.
There is no fine. Plenty of people travelling. I did. Just make sure your PCR are within 72 hours. God bless.
