Seaweed supplements could significantly reduce cow farts, a new study claims

Some boffins have said they will feed
A large pile of Irish seaweed
To some lucky cow
Because face it, right now
More methane is not what we need

doesn’t have to be seaweed, wild meadow flowers reduce cow farts.
or alternatively, methane can be harvested and used as a fuel AND YOU CAN TURN COW POO INTO ELECTRICITY. did i mention that before?

Villagers in India collect sacred cow droppings and use methane digesters to generate cooking gas. When the cow dung has exhausted the methane, peasant farmers dig the residue into their grain and vegetable plots as compost.

a lot of the methane is generated from farts and burps so the seaweed or wild meadow flower (never heard about that, sounds cool) method might suit better.

No harm in putting the poop to good use too.

methane is released from compost heaps or any rotting vegetation. if there was a commercially available home capture system to stick on top of your brown bin for example you’d be laughing
