It’s Not Over Until The Masked Ladies Sing

at

Yesterday.

Manhattan, New York, New York, USA.

‘Masks for seniors, masks for kids,
‘It’s not about you. also not like the flu
‘Just because we’re tired, doesn’t mean it’s over
Mandate masks, that’s our ask.’

Pro-mask- protestors demonstrate the lifting of New York’s covid mask mandate with a song in the air of nursery rhyme Frère Jacques.

Looney Tunes! You have to go to the extreme fringes of the pro-mask side to find these kinds of people (see the miniscule turnout) whereas on the other side…not so much, swing a cat and you’ll hit a loon, their protests resembling something from the Walking Dead.

they should send over that pair of ‘rappers’ ye had on there a few days ago; nobody would even look at a mask ever again.

4 legs good, 2 legs bad amiright? (‘cept chickens and hens of course)

For some it is like a comfort blanket to a toddler, makes them feel safe.

They can not wrap their heads around the lies they have been told over the last two years by their own government.

I have nothing but pity for them as it is a truly pathetic sight.

who would have thought a human could be so intimidated by a piece of cloth. You should go out there and find a real enemy.

      1. Rominick

@Paul, Yeah the real enemy is the loss of bodily sovereignty.
But I suppose that was lost on you.

        1. anti bot

Body sovereignty? would you grow up? Do your wear clothes in public, wear a condom if you ever have sex? the latter is probably a facile question

Yet another bs anti pandemic comment by Bodger. You forgot to post the vid from the Florida governor giving out to school kids for wearing masks.

Who would’ve thought that paul could miss the whole bloody point so spectacularly? This is my nomination for the most idiotic few lines we’ve seen, stiff competition, too.
Imagine if you will, paul, a little piece of metal, the size of the tip of your little finger, nothing to be scared of. It’s a bullet.
The Weakest Link is in da house!

        1. paul

remarkable that you speak of missing the point while you, yourself, misses the point. A bullet isn’t dangerous by itself. I’d say ‘cretinous K. Cavan’ but I’ve never been fond of tautologies. Hopefully your little piece of metal doesn’t activate and ruin your weekend.

There was a doctor from the UK that described the masks as exactly that, comfort blankets. They weren’t ever going to stop or slow down the spread, but were to reduce the stress of those worried about catching covid. The mask PR stunt has backfired for some, if these loopers are anything to go by

Oh, the inhumanity. The tyranny. By the way, how’s the freedom convoy going these days?

    1. K.Cavan

Thanks for that, Vlad. It’s fun, really good fun, to see you floundering around like that, schadenfreude don’t you know.
You actually are The Elephant In The Room that nobody can ignore.

They made protests they didn’t like a crime and then froze their bank accounts.

AFTER they commuted the so called “crime”

Have a think about that for a sec.

“We’re protesting. Not a crime in a democracy is it?”

“It is now – we just changed the law… you’re nicked sunshine!”

And people cheer it on. So myopic.

      1. Nigel

You people have NO awareness of the history and reality of protests AT ALL. People who commit acts of civil disobedience get arrested or just hauled off by police in democracies all the time. They blockaded a city for two weeks. If they’d been indigenous protesters they wouldn’t have lasted a day.

          1. Nigel

What’s your point? One protest going on longer than another doesn’t contradict anything I said. The Portland people are clearly better at this than the truckers were because oh boy the cops HATED them. Also, I don’t know if you noticed, Portland is in a different country from where the trucker protest was, sio picking them as a direct comparison for how the authorities respond is a bit weird.

Hey I’m pro vaccines and supported all restrictions but now the law has been lifted and you are still free to wear a mask if you want but if someone now chooses not to wear one you cannot complain because the rules have changed.

It must be tough, when you’re a fully fledged member of the cult – and the precepts are removed. Still, we should kow-tow to mental illness all the same.
