that’s a typo, she’s being very upfront with new campaign, ‘Ivana needs a pay rise’.

And of course they have the token black face on the front row (why not further back as they place the other members of pale skin ethnicity )
      It’s so obvious .
This is what I hate about liberals all this symbolism
      It’s so sinister
THERE IS NOTHING NEW ABOUT THIS FAILED GROUP OF SPONGERS

      Very droll Pauline’s pens
I actually when I lost a job had to attend one of these
      I asked for a pen

Congratulations to Ivana, and best of luck in the new role.

There are many thing I am sure we would disagree on but if she can get the wheels screwed back onto the Labour cart, then that is a good thing.

if she can roll back the party to what they were before Ruari Quinn screwed the students then I’m all for it, a bit of competition. Not sure if we get that in this generation but who knows.

She voted and spoke in favour of every bit of austerity in the recession – particularly those aimed at the OAPs and disabled.

I am one of them €50 a week down on my pension
I worked since I was 16 between here and the UK and my 8 years of UK pension contributions were refused over 400 in total by the Irish government they do not qualify as they are lesser

God love all those northern Irish if ever they have to claim a pension from the republics system if the north is unified with the south

I have for two years argued the point and are still waiting for an explanation
Meanwhile each weak I am short €50

I never said that scottie- but as you should know, there is such a thing as a party whip which is why the people who spoke the most sense throughout the pandemic have been independents.

The reason for a change in leadership of any party is to take it in a new direction, and I wish Ivanna well in that endeavour- she may surprise us all yet.

She certainly cannot be any worse that that Kelly clown, or iJoan.

I assume Sinn Fein have replaced the Labour Party as the party of the socialists
Labour has been decaying from the top when dick spring conned us all

they’ve all had their hills to climb (that they’ve failed to or just didn’t bother trying) if Ivana can surmount hers (being an outright liar during elections) then there is hope.

I do genuinely want more competitive political parties in Ireland, give the electorate more options so there are alternatives when the party in power is full of grifters and self-serving muppets.

David below has hinted at this- if Labour go in full throttle on the housing crisis and call for the banning of vulture funds- you will be surprised how their ratings will rise.

I have no doubt but that SF are reaping the rewards of doing it already. Housing is the biggest single issue that concerns this generation.

          4. Dinkum

Sadly we are paying her wages plus untouched expenses and pensions
            It’s gas
She will be earning more than biden and more than Boris who run countries with 15 to 135 times our population
As we are members of the EU we might as well abolish all these parasites in the dail and senate and get rid of the middle men women and what else we call them and imagine the savings of our taxes

Imagine working your whole life to get to the top, only to find when you get there, there is nothing left.

  4. david langwallner

Congrats Ivana and socilalim focusing on equality, housing needed more than ever but not much evident in the Labour Party

    a Sisyphean task

“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”

    George W Bush.

  6. Ah sure jaysus you know yourself

If there was no necessity for the Labour Party already, surely that sorts that out today. An exemplary display of pointlessness if ever there was such a thing.

  7. Dr.Fart

she reminds me of Zappone. Seems to have great intentions, empathetic and says all the right things. But ultimately boils down to a champagne socialist who actually will do eff all about this things she seems passionate about and just really looking for a spot at the trough.

I wonder actually, do they make her and Eamon Ryan eat from their own trough? or do they allow they feed off the FG/FF one?

    1. Ian - oG

I doubt it, I’d say Eamo only feeds from south facing windowsills where he always has a supply of salad ready to go.

    2. Mad

      I think that’s unfair
I really want to think so but still
I’d much prefer her to Alan Kelly for example

  8. Madam x

Ivana puk. Ivana Lie Ivana Drink The name has endless headline possibilities. The Irish Star will be delighted
