I used to read Broadsheet regularly and was very fond of witnessing the rag bag of civil servants, paid shills, government operatives and psychotic maladjusted freaks that make up the comment section tearing strips off each other and frothing at the mouth at the latest smug pile-on. I was a particular fan of Nigel’s 500 daily posts and Daisy’s Wildean wit.
But today I dropped in to check on the site and all I saw was awe-inspiring pics of sunsets, nostalgic adverts and promotion of creative musicians.
Needless to say, I won’t be coming back any time soon. How do you like that, Bodger?

I would count you as one of the more obnoxious weirdos on the other side of the divide (kudos to you!). Though, you will always be second place to Daisy. Nobody beats Daisy for repulsive and obnoxious personality traits. A true leader in her field. In years to come, they’ll use Daisy to teach young college students just how warped and fanatical some were conditioned to become, all the while deluding themselves into believing they are the rational Liberal ones. There’s no deceit like self deceit.

I don’t pay to read Broadsheet. I never respond to any of the popup adverts. I think there is a clique of urban-based commenters, some of whom know each other. These commenters like slagging one another. Their slagging is annoying, but achieves nothing.

Unfortunately, I can’t disagree with their assessment!
I have to admit, Nigel’s constant flooding is becoming irritating & it’s got very little to do with the fact that I disagree with him. Many other forums I subscribe to will warn people over this & ban them if it continues. His constant cutting & pasting is taking up too much room, as well as being a well-known ploy used by paid shills to derail conversations.
Nobody else does it, I did it back to him once, taking something he’d said completely out of context but it went over his head & around his shoulders. There’s no doubt I find it hard not to detest Wokeists & they hate everyone who dares disagree with them but that’s universal, now & won’t be going away, anytime soon.
People posting links to Clownworld rags like The Guardian is also counterproductive. If you’ve something to say, use your own words or zip it, many people regard something appearing in the MSM as immediately suspect, anyway, it doesn’t grant any veracity, any more.

The apod posts were Chompsky’s wheelhouse. As he is no longer working with broadsheet.ie, I would assume that those posts have stopped for that reason.
